Hey all,

I have some spare cash and want to get one of these piggy back air/fuel computers.

I have read that the e-manage is supposed to be the best, but I have found it's generally twice, if not more, the price of the S-AFC II.

My car is a pretty much dead stock, I have a 3" cat back exhaust, performance clutch and a POD filter on the way.

Would the Apexi do the job no worries? or would the e-manage be a better buy even though it's more expensive?

Appreciate any help.

Cheers.

PS: I don't plan on upgrading the turbo or any other major bits and pieces, so I don't want to waste money on an e-manage if I would never need it.

if u get a s-afc / e-manage and then get tune with ur current mods it wont make that much of a difference... plus u probably have to get retune once u get it boosted..

most skylines run rich once u start adding mods so u dont have to worry about ur car leaning out.... so im with hippy, get ur bolt on stuff ( dump pipe, ebc, fmic or wateva ) then the s-afc / e-manage..

I am confused why you say that the emanage was twice the price, I was interested because it was cheaper or the same for what offers more control (AFR AND ignition timing vs AFR only)

Hikariperformance: New Trust Emanage with ignition and injection harnless AUD$680.00

(Hikari) APEXI S-AFC AIR FLOW CONTROLLER AUD$600.00

(Belperformance) Super ITC Super Ignition Timing Converter AUD$500

extra 60rwkw...nice.

ned: according to www.greenline.jp the S-AFC II would cost me around $AU460 delivered, and the eManage and both the harness' and support tool would cost me $AU780 delivered.

Just to clear things up, I don't want to get the S-AFC II or eManage or extra power or anything like that, it's just to control the mixture and have peace of mind that it's not running too lean and pinging and etc. etc...

Well if ur a novice you probably wont need the support tool, just get a workshop to tune it for you. The money you save from not buying the support tool can go towards getting it tuned professionly.

I think eventually, once ive paid back the bank a bit more money, Ill go Emange and greddy boost controller. Seems that it would do everything important that a SAFC, AVCR and power fc does, for a bit cheaper, and ur able to tune it on a computer.

And looks cooler too. :P
