Hi, wondering if anyone could help with this please?

I have a set of OHLINS shocks (older type) for an R32 GTS-4 or GTR

The problem is with the rear shocks, they seem to be stuck on the stiffest compression/rebound setting and the adjusters don't seem to be working correctly.

The compression/rebound is supposed to be adjusted by inserting a hex key into the hole at the top of the damper rod and turning it. This works on the front shocks. When trying to adjust the rear shocks, turning the hex key clockwise, it turns smoothly with no resistance until it stops and goes tight, turning anticlockwise it just unscrews very smoothly with no resistance all the way until a grub screw comes out the top. Even with the grub screw almost right out they are still on the stiffest setting. The grub screw comes right out and just looks like a normal grub screw.

Would anyone have any idea what might have gone wrong or have a diagram of the parts in these shocks?

Thanks for your reply.

Yeh checked the ohlins site and it doesn't seem to have these ones listed.

On these shocks above the lower mount there is a 12mm nut with a philips head screw in it. Think this is for filling them with gas but not sure. Also, I had to use a smaller hex key to turn the screws in the rear shocks.

What do the adjusters on your rear shocks look like?
