hi guys im in the hunt for a 34 and have come across this one

http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/NISSAN....aspx?State=NSW

has anyone else heard of this bloke?

i have seen a few cars advertised under his name but am not sure what the quality of cars he sells are like. has anyone had any experience with him??

ive been to topmotorimports and it was very dissapointing after closer inspection i found numerous issues with their cars which were still $10k more than this one!!!

has anyone got some information for me???

lol - a dealer masquerading as a private seller, selling a car that doesn't exist...

Its a shame, because almost all R34 Skylines in NSW being sold as private seller cars are infact TopMotorImports cars. And most of those cars advertised have been sold too.

Why dont the respective advertising websites stop this? It amounts to fraud!!!!

It also pisses me off!!

Thanks guys for all of the links, youve been a great help.

Hiya AD,

When you do come across one that seems to be in good nick and goes well,

for comparison purposes, PM me and if I'm not in clinic, you can have a look at mine & get some hints.

Like an earlier Post suggested, the odo on the dash cluster (Nismo or not) can be fudged.

Tez.

Hi Tez,

thanks for the offer, i may have to take you up on that when it gets closer and i actually find a good example!

What area are you in? Im in Sydney.

Thanks for the info on the dash, i am very wary of the original dash, and would prefer not to even touch cars with an aftermarket dash!!! There are ways at checking the accuracy of the taco, such as driving and even a simple look at the interior and exterior, and age / average k's per year.

I always insist that i get the car inspected by my mechanic, up on a hoist, and includes engine, gearbox and differential checks. I have had sellers say no to this, and consequently ive told them to keep their car! If they want to sell their car, and have nothing to hide, i.e. are selling an honest vehicle, they would welcome the checks. Normally this is second to my own inspection of the car and purely a finaly once over once i have made up my mind its potentially worth buying.

For example, i went over a car, drove it and on the outside and mechanically it was a winner (atleast no undue noises, knocks etc). Seller agreed to have it checked over by my mechanic, had it put up on a hoist and the entire underside was rusting, and not minor surface rust either! Turns out the rims were repainted, and a car showing 30k on the clock had had atleast 3 tire changes per rim and new front rotors. Bam no good. Didnt even both with the other mechanical checks.

Thanks for all your help.
