I find my '34 gets lots of looks from Mr. General Public. Kind've those 'wtf it's a Skyline but it's got four doors' looks. Or a Commodore will see the hotplates and automatically assume I want to race them

Lol, probably wtf, how come you didn't get a stagea if you wanted four doors? :D

I have had my FTO for longer than my R33 and its a fact all the chicks I know like the FTO way more than my r33 skyline which IMO looks pretty decent. They dont call the skyline a BigUglySoapBoxRacer for nothing. flameon :D

btw I saw them shoot that ad in chinatown on a friday night.

In chinatown serz? nice!

Im being overbearing.....I like the design of an FTO; kinda like a mini supra but i had a bad experience with some knucklehead driving one soooo recklessly he almost caused like 4 accidents.

It was a black one with 5spoke wheels; i followed him for while to call the police but he ended up slamming his brakes on in front of me in traffic and getting out for a fight; I tried to run him over and sped off because it was right near my house and i didnt wanna let him know where i lived.

I guess I don't drive on the same roads as you. My car isn't the one in my profile pic - it looks bone stock from the outside. I need the stockish ride height cuz of my driveway... I know it looks bad on a GTR. I have more ground clearance than some SUVs

Its the bloody front lip ey! so low that even a small incline will scrape.

:P I too have had more looks on the bike than the car. If you want good attention from people/girls on a budget, buy a motorbike. Depends on the type of girl you go for I guess...but I've found their eyes light up when you offer to take them for a ride ;)

Johnny, that guy wasn't Asian by any chance was he? I had some random douche in a black FTO pick a fight with me once. He and his mate had been chatting up our girlfriends in a carpark while we had gone to get kebabs. I told the girls to get in the car and offered to drag him in his piece of shit. Idiot decided a 2 v 3 fight would be worth starting over those comments. He and his friend got both their asses kicked by just one of us lol. Then they decided to bugger off when 4 more of my friends turned up after finishing their kebabs at the shop. Caught up with them on the way home, had a traffic light drag and left em for dead hahaha.

BOT, the Just Car ad pisses me off too. Makes import drivers look like wankers who think they are irresistable to girls :P

As if you'd be able to hear a chick beat boxing if you're driving a GTR. It would like look like the girl was mumbling to herself = nutter

:P

Fkn love that R34 in your sig

Actually Brett I think i know the type of people Matts talking about I mean I came from the states and I have to say that the teenage style here is wayyyy different to the states at I mean the first time I was tight jeans on a guy I was like....hmm ok he's weird (he wasn't an emo) then I started to see lots more and I was like....huh....then I went to a club WTF? I don't want to offend anyone here but whats up with the tight ass low cut fluro shirts with tight ass(literally) leg hugging jeans?? I mean seriously?! I don't want to see your nipples dude seriously and if it's cold bet they could poke an eye out with those things! I don't know how any GUY can fit into tight jeans as the ones I've been seeing though...how is it "physically" possible? I noticed though it seems to be really popular with Juniors and Seniors here and really come on that shirt with that pants? Well i think this is the type of people Matts talking about I really hope I didn't offend anyone with this post but I'm just not use to that kind of fashion and I'm sure people might look at me and think I'm off but I get it....then again they might just be looking at me because of my narrow eyes and black hair.....JUST BECAUSE THEIR SMALL DOESN"T MEAN I CANT SEE YOU!!!! Hahahah

Edit: Sorry forgot, Junior is American for year 11 and Senior is year 12

lol James. Well I don't care if I offend, lol. Tight low cut jeans and fluro t-shirts of the 'baby colour' variety on guys are just teh ghey. I thought it was just the young kids at first and so wasn't that concerned... I don't expect to understand each new fashion as it arises, but then I started to see people in their late 20's and early 30's wearing this stuff too. How could a generation (or 2) manage to make 80's/90's high top sneakers uncool? Well they did it. They managed.

    • What are you doing with the car? street car or race car? People get hung up on the squat of the s/r chassis rears. There is positives to the squat if a car is setup and driven correctly for it (correct ride height, spring rate, alignment, damper valving). Generally just lengthen the rear traction arm by 5-10mm and that will help the squat and bump steer too. You are also correct with the roll centre too. This too also needs to be adjustable if you start messing with suspension geometry.   Having done quiet a bit of testing on race cars this year in regards to rear squat, I've seen some big positives from it in regards to drive off corners and traction.
    • I find I am using the MX5 for everything except long overnight cruises with Jackie, or, if picking up the kids to go somewhere, the SS has so much more room inside, and is much more comfortable if your going to be doing Hwy driving for 6-8 hours And the MX5 isn't bad in stop go traffic for a manual transmission car, whilst the clutch kit has been upgraded from stock, it is still light, and also not having a stupidly light flywheel in it helps as well, I've spent alot of time sitting on the M5, M4 and M7 stuck in traffic when plodding around the Greater Sydney Region in it Another benefit is MX5's are not really a car that gets stolen, you can pretty much park it anywhere, and it will still be there when you return
    • I can totally get why you like it for that sort of commute. I was thinking BoganDore because it's such a lazy drive, for things like stop start traffic.   I used to do over an hour in stop start shit from one side of Bris to the next, twice a day. My choice of car was larger displacement, with an auto. Basically for torque in low rpm/very low speed, and no clutch pedal. But loved a fun manual for the weekends, which the partner has (plus had the LandCruiser too for other fun drives). I now have an EV as a work car, and I tell ya what, ultimate daily driver, especially if youre out of energy, like I often am after work. I don't even need to touch the brake pedal   That said, I'm presently rebuilding the Liberty GTB to get it setup for weekend drives and track abuse! So small high revving turbo engine with 6 speed cog swapper!   But for your style of commute, I'd probably take the MX5 too!   For those choices, I'm ignoring fuel economy. Because I know how atrocious V8 daily life is for fuel from when I used to daily a manual SS, ha ha. Hence why I know I love the daily rumble of a V8
    • II know what u are saying after 9 years of hibernating my stock engined  110,00km gtt I got it registered 2 weeks ago. Took it for a drive a couple of days ago and some fresh bp fuel, I just couldn’t stop grinning and dreaming of when I will start my build thread. its just such a primal man feeling many forget to enjoy I wish u so much enjoyment with your little racer mate
    • People just don't understand how good MX5's actually are and how fun they are to drive, park, manuever. You feel like you have got some fun cheat code, while everyone else is sitting in their luxobargeSUV like normies who missed the point of living. It really is that noticable. As long as you/your stuff fit, and you're comfortable (they are), a MX5 is the best car on earth to daily around.
