New To Coilovers

Hi all,

Im a bit of a noob when it comes to suspension and as the instructions for these coilovers are in Japanese i thought i would ask some questions.

Firstly i have Tein Flex coilovers ready to go in my R33GTSt.

Putting them in seems to be straight forward.

1) In the kit was some rust preventative, where does this need to be applied?

2) There are 2 adjustments on each shock lower is height and upper damper bound and rebound?

3) Is there a right and a left or doesnt it matter?

4) when making adjustments to the bound and rebound, lower is softer and higher is harder?

5) After installation do i need to take the car for alignment?

6) Should i just take the car to a trusted suspension place and let them adjust the suspension to my application?

1) Most instructions should have pics of the area's that need to be applied but I would assume the top mounts etc.

2)yes the bottom bracket will adjust the height and the other adjustment under the spring will adjust the spring preload-how firm the ride will be etc.

3) Some shocks are left or right specific but if they are it is usually stamped on the struts somehwere
