sorry for all the confusion...it is indicating left when exiting the roundabout after having made a right or U-Turn

that vicroads PDF summed it up on page 95 as Wheezy said...

With the PDF we're discussing:

http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyre...0/0/part_09.pdf

Left turning signals while existing a roundabout a normal in England, not Australia :P

In regard to the PDF I read:

Rule 112 and 113, left and right indicators before entering a roundabout advise to leave the indicator on until you have left the roundabout.

Rule 118 contradicts in the way I interpret it, are you indicating left to show your exiting a roundabout after U-turn?

Or after a right-turn?

Also, is this roundabout a standard roundabout? (ie. 3-4 entry points).

well, once you get your license, you can drive however you want, no one can stop you, except cops :P

but before you get your license....you should be into the habbit of driving the "proper" way, with consistant head checks and all that crap :)

errr...you should be driving "the proper way" when you get your license, not just when you're going for it. Indicators are there for a reason, and head-checks are absolutely bloody crucial. Mirrors are deceiving.
