Hey guys im looking at grabbing this turbo off a mate i had a look at it yesterday, but I wasnt to sure on what i was looking for. Basicly the front of the turbo is all polished up nicely and there is no shaft play on the steel wheel but when you turn the turbo around and fiddle ith the exhaust wheel it has about 1 mm movement is this common or sh1te? what els should i be looking for? and will this turbo fit my car in its original place with no mods?

1mm of shaft play is usually fine, but an RB20 turbo would be way too small for an RB25.

an rb20 HI-FLOW turbo is perfectly suited for the awd auto stagea

sydneykid runs one on his

awesome responsiveness from low rpm boost

got photos?

1mm shaft play is as it should be

big rear steel wheel?

front housing and rear housing bored out?

give us a look-see :D

GCG high flows for 32/33 are the same, as they machine out the housings to suit the same size wheels.

i would assume that this turbo would be nice and responsive even if it is on the smaller side of high flows, aslong as it is slightly larger than stock i would check it out.

its not like our drivelines love big power anyway.
