ok at the moment my pod is just resting on the guard and i need to make a bracket of some description to fix it in place, what are people using as a bracket to fix theirs in place? and im trying not to go down the cable tie everything track haha

Go To Autobarn or Supercheap, they have brackets for about $7.

Basically a flat piece of steel with a series of holes in them, quite simple.

At the end its sought of a U shape that fits under the hose clamp on your pod filter/adapter plate.

It fairly flexible and can be bent to the shape/angle your after to get the pod sitting how your want.

I think the brand is TFI, they make all the metal/platic pod filter adapters also.
