Hey everyone,

This might be a weird question but I'm currently on holiday here in Japan and right now I'm in Tokyo.

I thought it'd be pretty easy to find Super Mario toys, but I haven't been able to find too much!

I'm looking in particular for those plush toys that make sounds.. like these here

Today I went to Yamashiroya toy store and they only had a small collection of Mario stuff that spanned a tiny wall.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated!! Thanks

id go and have a little poke around akihabara and also a toys r us. If you havent been out to odaiba yet go and have a look and at the same time you can go to the toys r us there.

I can't remember the name of the street but its the main street from Ometsando to MeijiJingomae. Half way along on the left is an awesome toy shop with more plush figures than I have ever seen before anywhere. Good luck and have a Mos burger for me somewhere along the way

Cheers

Thanks for the quick responses guys! I have a free day tomorrow after a long day at the D1 GP today so I'll have a roam around and hopefully can find it!

Ohh that would be KiddyLand, I went there on Friday but no luck there either.. sucks having to find a specific item for someone haha.

I tried the Moss burger on Saturday night, it was great but not filling enough :P

Thanks again everyone but doesn't seem that I can find them anywhere here!

Kiddyland's Mario plush selection is limited to 2/3 of a shelf and that's it..

I was thinking there would be a Nintendo world or something of that kind at least around here but guess not

Maybe I'll get lucky and run in to it somewhere when I'm not looking for it!

i think i remember seeing some at bic camera near yurakucho station. there is a nintendo shop at akihabara, but it mainly has 2nd hand games...worth a look though :D

Shakeys Pizza! OMG that makes my mouth water! Ham and Pineapple with corn, I kid you not I just love it! Well back to Akihabara then I suppose, so many toy shops there.

Gambatte!

Thanks! I left for Nagoya yesterday afternoon to follow my itinerary and group of friends but decided last minute to come back a couple of hours later to meet with my other friends to go Halloween clubbing haha, so today is definitely my last chance at finding it in Tokyo! Fingers crossed!

Gee ,you could'nt send me back some 78 GC210 skyline flared guards could you ? Credit card waiting

just a bit of wishful thinking. For 5 weeks now I've been emailing to and fro with Kamaeri in Japan but the translation is playing havoc. So frustrating

Shibuya... but i can't remember the name of the shopping centre. Tokyu Hands... or something like that. :D

Actually, there some good shops in Osaka (not Shin-Osaka) which is not far from Kyoto, but due my shit memory i can't remember exact locations. There's ferris wheel on a big shopping complex in Osaka which is a good place to look....also the markets under the train lines might help. :)

Sorry i can't remember the exact locations...i was there in May08, and i was drunk most of the time :)

Haha I went on that big ferris wheel on top of the shopping center, might go back to Osaka if I can't find much to do in Kyoto.

Someone directed me to Mandrake Broadway at Nakano to find the Mario things, they said it was where they bought theirs last year. But I dunno if I'm willing to do a 3rd ride to Tokyo from Nagoya without knowing definitely if they have it still :P argh what to do..

in kyoto near teramachi theres an american themed shop. its quite possible that they have some. i went in there on sunday but cant remember what i saw. worth a try if your in kyoto tho. or maybe go to umeda and just roam around hankyu and JR for a while
