Have been offered flared gaurds ( over riders ) or what ever you call them. They're $ 400. Is this a good price? and they were to suit a C110, but I gather they'll suit the C210.

The C110 have a different shape rear guard.

Due to the rarity of this part in Australia $400 doesn't seem unreasonable. You can haunt the yahoo auctions in Japan looking for something cheaper, and then ask around for someone to post them over to you - but it might be a very long wait before some come up. Also check the 240k forum on classiczcars.com, as getting flares and spoilers made seems to be a hot topic over there.

Also double checking that 240k and c210 flares are the same sounds like a very good idea. Ill ask around and see if anyone knows.

2 door vs 4 door 240ks: the shape of the front wheel arches is definitely identical, as the panels are interchangeable. Same goes for the rear wheel arches, however, there isnt a whole heap of clearance between the rear wheel arches and the rear doors for the sedan.

I watch some carbon fibre flares go on ebay.au the other week for $300, I was thinking about bidding, but I didn't know how carbon fibre and fibre glass would hold together ( I have a 4 door, and the rear flares would need modifying)

so I decided to look into getting fibre glass one.

Nigel, those flares on ebay.au were purchased by my friend Shane here in W.A. Cost him $400 all up. The ones I was looking at were same mould and from the same person. Thankfully i waited till Shanes arrived ( yesterday), but they are NOT contoured to fit a C210 coupe even remotely. So the hunt goes on.My friend will probably put them back on ebay. Maybe they'll fit a C110,who knows. Guess that's the downside of buying unseen (physically).

Does your friend still have the C110 flares? Are they definitely C110 items? They look more like 240Z flares/overfenders if thats them in the photos you posted.
