richofoz
As the title suggest I've got smoke coming out of the gear stick boot when driving at freeway speeds. At first I thought it was just from a smoke I hadn't put out properly in the ashtray but that's not it. It smells like oil smoke and the amount of smoke is about the same amount that comes off the end of a cigarrette. Are there any obvious causes for this? I'm hoping it's just some oil that has spilled/leaked on to the exhaust which is burning off but I can't see any. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. P.S Have tried changing gearbox oil - had no effect) Thanks in advance, Rich. IZZMO 33
what sort of gearbox oil did u put in? how long has this been happening for? ie. did it just start randomly or you did something with the gearbox, change clutch etc? are your breather hoses hooked up properly? not having a go, just trying to think of the possible causes Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/241898-r33-gts4-smoke-coming-out-of-gear-stick-boot/#findComment-4238664 Share on other sites
