On all our cars we use Quik Trak...

I'm sure u have heard of it b4 its worked when needed...

They almost stole My cuzn's GTR R33 But quik trak cut the fuel off..

I havent heard of the alarm u mentioned but up 2 u

hope i could help

any alarm with 3pt immob and black wires will cut down the chances of you car getting stolen.

you just have to make sure whatever alarm you get it has immobilisers, alot of the pager systems that look trick and have heaps of cool functions don't have immob. and if you are looking at pagers make sure you look at GSM models not FM radio!!!!! (as they have very poor range)

Instead of the wires being different colours (so you can tell what they are for) they are all black. this is meant to make it more time consuming for thieves to work out what each wire does, and hence less likely to steal the car. Insurance companies also request often that an alarm has black wiring to be covered (if you are going comprehensive that is).

There are plenty of discussions on car security on www.skylinesdownunder.com in the Security section. That might be of assistance.

i use qiktrak as my last car got stolen.. also my dad uses it as his last car was stolen (bugger!) ... very happy and the $$ is worth the piece of mind...

$1800 to protect something you apent $20000+ on... i think its worth it... the $1800 incl. 1 year monitoring and monitoring is $400/yr thereafter.

i have a brant nemesis (6pt immob + keypad) and my mate has quiktrak.

quiktrak is a reasonable hike over the nemesis, but you get what you pay for. i would definitely get QT if you don't have comprehensive insurance.

my car has been in the visitor car parks in apartment blocks when cars have been broken into, and i generally have the most high profile car there and they haven't touched it so i'm pretty happy with it.

i dont have an alarm as yet but i have a kill switch for the fuel pump and other various kill switches.. it would be pretty hard to steal the car i think.. the switches are not visable and some of them aint switches just various wire "plug things" i dont mind spending the extra 1 minute to unplug and switch stuff off knowing that the thief will have a bit of trouble starting the car.

it's kind of like that joke..

two mates are in the bush and they see a grizzly bear coming right for them. one bloke turns to another and says in relief "it's lucky i brought my running shoes!".

his friend replies "what good is that? the bear will outrun you anyway". and the original guy says "that's okay, i only have to outrun you."

the more immobilisers, the more time it requires to steal a car. the more locks on your front door, etc. etc.

i just have to make my car the least appealing in the car park to try and steal, so the better the alarm, the less chance of theft.
