hi guys/girls . i have been reading thru some of the topics and have seen a few about probles with the cops.... ;) . i am only new to the import and performance scene but i get the impression there is no where to drift safely.... i rekon if we can get enough of us together i would like to prpose to the council about making some where for every one to go (maybe after hours at ttp or similar). some where like that would also raise money (charge an entry fee of say $20 a car) towards maintaining the grounds. maybe im not on the level with this but its food for thought.

plenty of things get put through consils with enough people behind it so maybe we should give it a go :P

lol, if only you knew the can of worms you've opened, you wouldn't have started this thread.

and if you had any idea of the requirements and costs and procedures with public liability etc.........how long is a piece of string.

as i said if enough ppl get on board we can make it happen. but we have to put it togeather right at the start, work out the bad points ie: noise dick heads that can't control them selfs and counter act it with possitives, raising money, keeping it off the streets....

if the councils in most areas can supply a skate park made of concrete for young people to go break there legs at, and have "TAGS" all over then why should it be different for drifting.. we all know the risk when you get behind the wheel to drive and if you are doing it willingly and somthing goes wrong you take the blame. pt gawler has disclaimer forms for everyone to sign saying you won't sue them if you get hurt on the go kart track, whether you are driving or not.. you have chosen to be around it and understand the risk :)
