do what this guy did,

he bolted an rb30de together he reckons its really smooth no power figures yet but they are coming I reckon with some head work 140rwkw should be possible with this setup other wise just fit extractors. and when you get the cash get the head done.

cheers

thanks guys :)

my brother inlaws brother makes intercoolers, air intakes, fits turbo's etc so he will be the one working on my car hehehe

he is putting a turbo in an XF ute (coz he is a ford man, he built a GT with a 460 Big block, and is waiting on a mustang),so he can use it to show off what he can do and advertise it.

but yeah, soon i will be getting cold air intake with a filter n stuff

i know that with a n/a if i want power i wont be getting what i pay for...but just something for the moment :)

my importer has 2 GTi-R's for $14g - $17g

i should buy one hehe

doxximus, do anything you can to make your N/A breathe better, extractors, 3 inch pipe, pod filters, cold air induction and dont forget a big set of cams.

also dont forget that a good suspension setup and good tyres can make a huge difference if you are in a "street" race with someone that has inferior product.

my N/A continually amazes me with the cars that i leave behind, also don't forget that driver ability makes a HUUGE difference when you are in a race.

you could invest in some time on a track to give you a head start. try an advanced driving school or just hunt around some of the different forums that are about to find out about track days etc. and remember that the only person you are really racing is yourself!!

yeah my shocks are hard as shit on a hot/cold day (what ever weather makes shit hard :) )

my car sticks to corners really well i love it

round-a-bout's are my friend when there is some hero up my ass.

they go to overtake from the inside but dont seem to do it right...

also, my friend and i want to do an advanced driving course, me in my car, and him in his brothers s1 RX7 (10g's on the motor when he bought it a while back, its bloody amazing!). we just waiting for his bro to change the tires haha

but yeah most of my sisters family to be are car fanatics and mechanics so i can get cheap, if not free, parts made for me. I hoping to get the intake soon will be cool :)

    • See, that button sounds like perfection Duncan! My eyes really don't like light shining at them from a dash when I'm driving. Being part red colourblind, I've found for most cars that I can change colours on, I set everything to red, so my eyes see the elast amount of colour! I miss normal gauges in cars
    • bro, knowing the Japanese in  the 90's, i wouldn't be surprised if they shared components across their model lineup.
    • Maaaan so many "little" things  i rly hope my old RB20 would be "ok" and not too bad. I try to learn what and what not do i need. I look at crossmember at it looks different...even parts numbers are different. Wiring and all that i rly do not know...yeah someone mentioned the speedo thing. On that yoke clip. I rly do not know what can and cant be done "custom" so that is why iam asking to know and not be suprised 馃檪  I know what it looks like
    • Oh, there's also the gearbox crossmember which will probably be different between the small box and the big box, and the wiring loom will probably need to be modified, because the plugs for the switches etc, will probably be different. And I think the speedo on the small box R34s is from somwhere stupid, like the diff, possibly, so you'd need to work out what needs to be done about that (assuming it is different). I think the thing you need to realise is that the front end of that yoke is a large hollow tube with splines on the inside that mates with the splines on the box's output shaft. It is a dedicated thing - not available "aftermarket". They were made to suit that box, by the car's OEM.
