mmm yum-eh, yeah i didnt look at the picture in detail but if you have red GT badges thats turbo spec :D and blue for NA, i gathered the word badges on this post was the GT ones....

series 2 also gts-4 and a SUNROOF!!! thats a good combo. Not a fan of sunroofs but who cares because its a cruse mobile :)

yeah 70,000km just seams to good to be true these days, mine was 170,000km and it had been wound back sooo much. so much the engine broke. my interior was perfect too!! so its a hard pick a good engine but you have such a clean looker there CONGRATS on it and start your posts on SAU :D

P.S. i got my bill for my engine rebuild everyone ill post it up on my thread :O

not true.... type-s r33 came out with red badges.

the whole NA = blue GT badge thing isn't 100%

it's not some coincidence that 90% of the NA cars here have red badges. only the early models have blue badges and even then most of them were r32. i've only seen one r33 series 1 gts4 which had blue badges.

ahhh ok. mines a series 1.5 gts-4 with the blues. thats unusual that its such a messed up system there, the guy i brought it from wanted to buy red badges for my car when he was telling me about it and i was like PFFH blue is its DNA for NA,

also a standard gts25 compared to a gts25 type S is the engine

gts25 used a series 1 set up and the type S used a series 2 set up. (keeping in mind this is series 1.5) they were obviously experimental with these cars mixing parts and such from series '1s and '2s which is the only difference to why, well i can see here, that they put a red badge on it

the gts-4 however had a series 2 engine but its blue so ehhhhh. They sure are inbreed cars the series '1.5s :)

i love the front of your car.....freaking awsome.

is it just me or does it look like that car is sitting curiously high of the ground? higher then stock level even?

The car is sitting nearly high enough to hit the power lines ahahaha

Keep in mind everything on the car is from the old owner, as is how the car is looking/performing.

I have had the car for 9 days today and haven't really had enough time to play around with it, though this weekend I will be.

Very nice car, i love my sunroof too :( haha

Just one thing. The car looks like a series 1 with a series 2 front.

Interior and seats is all series 1 and i dont think they made GTS-4's in series 2's.

ooooh SEXY CAR. very clean and looks sweet.

me likes :O

Yeah true mines got red badges and its a NA.

yea they made series 2 gts4's. blue is rwd non turbo n black badges are sII gts4 but mine came over with the red 1's like yours steph but gold instead of chrome and a gold s on the bonnet. just 1 less thing we have to change :D

they did roll out of the factory with colour coded badges so nissan told me but they just change them overseas i guess because gold badges were never stock according to those guys

Why would someone do that lol

I explained i before. There was alot of cigarette marks in the interior (there is still one up near the sunroof and also one on the drivers door trim.

Hense the change, the S2 seats couldn't be sourced at the time.

    • Hey Murray, hope all is good. I took your advice and put the filler first then the putty. Seems like a much better result but i noticed there are still pinholes. I even had pin holes when i initially put the putty on the body filler. Do you think it has something to do with my spreader being f*cked? I attached some images. This is the intially body filler i sanded. No putty yet  Applying putty. Final result after using wax and grease remover can see the pin holes. I just noticed as i look at the putty application it looks wavy not sure if it's supposed to be like that or because of the spreader.
    • Hey all just wanting some advice. I’ve just compression tested my RB25det and these are the following results  Cyl 1 - 135psi Cyl 2 - 135psi Cyl 3 - 120psi Cyl 4 - 140psi Cyl 5 - 130psi Cyl 6 - 125psi   do these numbers seem ok.  Thanks in advance
    • I must say - this is how I picture all R31s!
    • Rust repairs completed, doors back on! pretty much totally back together running now. All future repairs will be fiddly wiring getting everything back up to road condition.  hasn’t  taken that long considering the condition I got the sub. note my helpers keeping the back seat warm 😂
