hey guys,

Got a question for you about a car i recently purchased. It hasn't arrived yet and yes im paying alot for it because of the exchange rate. But whilst waiting i have been doing some research and apparently the car is fitted with a factory fitted fujitsubo exhaust . What im wondering is do i have the super Ti model or the Legalis R or Legalis super R ??

Whats all the difference?

And i looked at the site www.japanparts.com and one is selling for $1600 and the other over $4000 . Who would pay that money when the gains aren't that significant . The link to these exhaust systems is below .

http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php...r=99&volkey=

Thanks .

It won't be the Super Ti. Those are pretty much never noise legal.

Nissan/Nismo used Fujitsubo for their optional exhausts for a while on the Z33/V35. The display cars they had at motoring shows back in 02/03 had a Fuji' on them.

I'm not sure if it's a custom run of exhausts made to Nissan's specifications, or if they just rebranded a "Legalis" model.

Sorry i forgot to post up the pics i have . When you say optional exhaust does that mean the cheaper one or the expensive one ?

Looks like just the normal Legalis to me. The Ti is made of Titanium, which will turn blue at the tips after being used, as Titanium turns blue when heated up.

On the street no performance gain, the Ti is usually more useful on the track where race teams always find ways to make the car lighter by x kilogram to find that extra 0.ss second laptime.

    • I love the undertray, especially the flappy bit for easier access for serving I'm thinking of fabing up one at work for the MX5 while I still have access to the metal shop at work with a guillotine and press brake Whilst removing the plastic undertray on the MX5 isn't to hard, I love the idea of a 2 bolt flap as opposed to removing the whole thing
    • Great thank you for that. Yeah that is the bumper and spoiler it still has i just hadn't heard of it being referred to as a aero form bumper before. Really appreciate your help.
    • A little progress; I took the opportunity of an oil change to take a sample for oil analysis, will be interesting to see how it was treated for its first 125,000klm (I know how it has been treated since ) I went with 5w40 and will see what that does for oil pressure at higher revs. Also fitted the Z1 front undertray....a little more sturdy than the plastic factory one (although I suspect it won't stop a tree stump ) Nicest thing about it really is the 2 bolt "service panel"....a gift to the oil changer compared to removing 14 bolts holding the factory tray.
    • I think a scissor lift is better/faster in most cases, but I guess it does obstruct access to the centre of the car? BTW I weighed the quick jack. 3.5 tonne model is 50kg for each side. So yes, portable, but not with one finger
    • Not a huge update because still waiting for some fittings for the intake. But I did corner weigh the car, its enough to make a GTR driver cry at 1163kg (race ready except no fuel)  Sorry about the terrible pics but I think they are readable With 70kg driver
