Are we allowed to stand around other parts of the skidpan (apart from that under cover bit) for filming?

kryz dun need helmet, steve as far as i know your not allowed to stand anywhere other than the little covered area unless your going to get your car (ie your next up on the pan) passengers are allowed john but it can get boring as a spectator i believe

Yeah its POSSIBLE that we might be able to get some out of bounds filming happening, ill talk to the guys on the day.

1 passenger at a time. Things used to get a bit silly when me and some others went nuts with 5 people in the car. Mad inertia.

Gary took his Patrol out once, and a few of us went in that.

We couldnt stop laughing. 4wd axle tramp, and just sliding off the track with over 2tonne of car under us. awesome.

Good to hear theres only gunna be 2 on the skidpan at a time cause it'll be the first time i'll be getting my car really sideways, bit nervous about it actually...

It's at Mount Cotton. Well known for the Porsche driver training, I've driven VTs there, but not as part of any holden driving center...

Shane - there are excellent instructors there that we always use. They go in the car with you, and will also drive your car (up to you) and teach you how to do it. Its low speed, and very safe. There has never been anything resembling a close call between 2 cars on the skidpan with SAU. Make no mistake, the instructors are there for drift, 1 is a rally driver.

I used to totally shit myself when i slid before I started doing these days, now, things are a bit different..... This will be my 5th i believe.

Skidpan is about 100m x 50m ? That would be the size of an imaginary rectangle around it.
