I know this sounds stupid, but would a t518z 8cm work on an rb25?

reason being I have a new t518z (td05-18g) from my SR that just shat itself, and with the rb25 conversion rather than sell the turbo and cough up for something else.. im wondering if the t518z would go on the rb25? an adapter is no problem, just wondering about efficiency and response and the like.

it is suited to an sr, so It may run out of efficiency, but then again it is a quite sizable turbo for an sr (240kwish)

cheers

it would be super responsive. maybe swap for the 10cm housing if possible. I have the T518Z 8cm on my SR and it's a great turb for an SR. mines putting out 230kw at the wheels with plenty more boost to run (only running about 17psi from memory). if you strapped it onto yout 25 and run 20psi it could get you over 250 I reckon. but by the time you get the right dump and front pipe, and mod the mani or get adapter and adapt the intake it's probably better to just sell it and buy an RB25 bolt on option like a GT-RS or similar. althought I guess the t518Z is about GT-RS size so they should work similarly.

cheers baron...

ive decided to sell the 518z and get something more suited, maybe a 3071... got a feeling an sr suited turbo would run out of efficiency fairly quick..

should get a nice price for the 518 considering 400kms ago it brand new...
