Hey guys.

I've got a 6 speed manual out of a 350Z available for sale.

The gearbox is low mileage (around 20-25 thousand km). I recently had it pulled down and visually inspected by a gearbox specialist, and was told that it is fine.

When I drove my car with it in, the gearbox was fine aside from the 5th gear synchro. While it was not showing visible evidence of damage, it isn't actuating properly and if you don't slide it in to 5th in a specific way it'll grind the gear. Aside from that, the gearbox feels perfect.

It'd be a good buy for someone who's looking at going FI and wants to build up a toughened box. You can drive around on the box if you need to. 5th is usable, you just need to be careful with how you shift it.

The first owner had it replaced under warranty pretty soon after he got the car. I had it for about 10,000km while my original gearbox was getting repaired. The majority of that mileage was low-load highway driving, as I've been putting k's on the car for FBT.

Location: Sydney

Price: $1800 ONO

The gearbox is currently at Pro Concept in West Ryde for pickup.

I haven't had the box pulled apart again since I discovered the 5th gear change issue. When I got the box back it passed a visual inspection, but it would take more work and pulling apart to find out exactly what's going on.

The price is reasonably negotiable, of course. I haven't seen a 6MT box up for sale on any Aussie forums, so I haven't got a ballpark figure to base mine on.
