they are both 3" systems so it will make you lose a lot of power, response wise. sure your top end RPM will be better but i doubt we should be driving 6000G's everywhere

look to keep your whole cat back 2.5" its a rule that you should stick to if you want back pressure for response. :PBJ:

*Smacks head against wall*

Back pressure KILLS power, you NEVER want back pressure, EVER.

The choice of 2.5" is to do with harmonics, and gas flow speed VS cooling.

Mainly, Harmonics.

better still i should correct that with scanvenging, which is made with a small pipe. Back pressure is fine its only wasted energy???? and the scanvenging is like a vaccume and will suck air out the cylinders??? (think my words have been mixed around) think thats how it goes. did you also check the welds on the cat and muffler this might relate to the problem :S

Answer: its just a characteristic of the engine thats only a problem when you change the zorst system far from stock. If you dont want the noise to be noticed the easiest way to get rid of it is a stock zorst system from catback. There are aftermarket ways and yes you can have desired response but you must use mufflers and resonators to quiet the noise so you dont have this being loud. In turn your zorst system when it = quiet, your 'Rattle' will = quiet.

im starving to get my car on the road so i called up to ask when i can do the engine and got this answer back for the sake of it.....didnt get a straight answer on my car though :) his laziness is upsetting

hey guys i have the rattle to i wouldnt worry bout it its just the engine sound resonating throught the exhaust. (pretty sure)

my exhaust system consists of coby extractors provided by our N/A legend EUG straight 2.5" pipe to drift cannon on back still makes sound was thinking of knocking out cat for fun but car is way to loud as it is had it checked outside car 1m from exhaust registerd 110.7db inside car was 93-95 cruising at 100km in 5th 2700rpm lol

if u get up the car heaps the sound aint that bad maybe cause its so loud and with sterio up perfect bliss

i did have a really bad rattle myself, found out it was some kinda shielding that was on the exhaust itself, just under the passenger footwell, it was held together with wire, and crap, stupid previous owner..... removed it and the horrible rattle went away, note that i still have the old RB rumble, resonation, whatever you want to call it
