Stuffs that need to be prepared.... plus suggestions...

1. Pump up tyres to a minimum of 40PSI

2. Remove/secure any loose items from the cabin

3. Loose, comfy clothing (It'll be hard to drive in leather jackets)

4. Light jacket if windy/umbrella if rainy but please secure it in the boot

5. Light snacks/water/soft drink (session is 4-hour long)

6. If possible wash & wax your car the day before so any dirt/grease don't stick to your paintwork

7. Generally check your car from now, e.g. check if low on oil, coolant, etc. Therefore you got the whole next week to get your car serviced if required. The last thing we want is your car to break down on the day.

I'll organise a digi-cam to take happy snapshots of everyone skidding around, you can bring yours but not compulsory. I'll distribute the photos after the session to all participants listed.

Other than that, see you next week Sunday!

Cheers,

Rianto

  • 2 weeks later...

yeah, rain would have made us slide even more!!!

It's a bit pity the sun angle wasn't quite right for the photos, maybe they should have build an extra viewing point on the otherside of the pan so we'll have the sun behind us.

heheh, true Paul. at least ur car is black. Mine doesn't show up badly but if I really look, I can spot those grease spots. It's all over.... blaackkk!!!! eeewwwww......

Now I can see why Nick still have some on his car after he washed it like 6 times!! Maybe I should go to a hand carwash and piss those guys off trying to wash it off my car LOL

nah Rianto, when its rwd the torque gauge didn't move and when its 4wd it only moves when i oversteer, which wasn't very often.

Kevin reckoned that the tyres on the back had far more grip than the front ones, so while the fronts were understeering the rear falkens wern't keen on letting go-thus preventing the elusive oversteer :D

Probably suspension tuning would also do great thing for the drift.... Kevin's S2 looks so nice drifting, and I think Nick's 180 will even be more awesome with some drift suspension in it...

I'd surely will consider getting my stock shocks replaced...

Thanks to Rianto for organising a top group to come out to the Skid Pan. Once again Skylines Australia was an excellent group. I am sure everyone loved watching Kevin in their cars, as everyone does.

Anyway I told over 250 photos and have posted a Gallery here:

http://www.rwdturbo.com/incoming.html?loca...bo/gallery.html

As usual I have resized all the pics to 800 x 600. The originals are uncompressed 6 mega pixel photos, that print out as massive posters. If anyone wants the orginal photos email me at [email protected]. However note the I charge $5 per pic, or 3 for $10. But once you get them printed you'll believe me that its worth it.

Also for anyone who is interested Driver Dynamics have a few spots left for a Defensive Driver Training course next Sunday the 28th of September. This day will be the last chance for everyone to take advantage of our September special of $150, or in the event that we get 10 people there, we will discount it further to $125. Email me at [email protected] or check out our website www.driverdynamics.com for more details

Once again thanks for coming out to the Skid Pan today

Cheers
