Far out dude - I feel for you. The problem is with this 40-50K price range toys is that you can get a near new Evo-X or STI and most people buy those things since they novate lease.

Maybe sounds like a funny question - but why is this car not on carsales.com.au

Its funny since I cannot believe that people do not advertise on carsales - I've actually found another 2 really clean looking R34 GT-R V-spec's on the carpoint, not advertised on CS, I could bet money lot of prospective buyers would not have even seen those ads.

A day in the life of a GTR.

mmmmmmm evo. breakfast.

STI.. lunch.

Whats for dinner?

My car is closer to 40k, its hard to find a near new Evo X for that price, and why would you go the STI, there horrible.

The car is on carsales, its been on their for quite a while.

Evo's and rex's do nothing for me unfortunately

Man..better not go below 40k.. i would cry if i was in your position and had to sell it below 40k. even $45 is so low for a 34 gt-r in that great condition ;)

I'm with others hope you find a buyer who can appreciate that car.

yeah maybe put it on carsales if you haven't.

when i sold my hyundai i've got almost 100 clicks on my ad a day. and it was in March. Would imagine more for your car.

All the best!

Its nothing to do with the state/look of his GTR (which is great in my oppinion). I have been looking at carsales on a daily basis just to see whats happening with R34's and what not. Majority of the R34 GTR's have been up there for ages and a lot have been removed from the site, later to be added. I think the market for these cars and any import car for that matter is bad at the moment..

Best of luck with the sale.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
    • That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
    • Bringing an old thread back to life Looking to put some new front shocks in the r33Gtst and the KYB still look ok for a road car. Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no. For the strut top, KSM7124?  https://www.sparesbox.com.au/products/kyb-strut-top-mount-ksm7124?srsltid=AfmBOoq-HDru8wSlLnQrhU9gCw_uYdKg8gUQzONY-EQOdnI5iXOWEUjY 341287 appears to be the front KYB shocks part no.  thanks all
    • LandCruiser used to get a fluid flush every 12 to 18 months.   Only because it was about that often the electric motor on the master for brake assist kept dieing and needing to come off.
