OK, i seem to buy more than fix, and with my latest acquisition i cant keep some of the older stuff..

so i'm selling the 30...some of the longer term members in perth may recall this being my first cruise car...

'84 HR30 sedan with the L20-T engine.. blue with crap paint..crap interior.. flat batt...leaking rad.....but still mech ok..only parked it up due to it running out of rego when i got the white granny spec going....had all the brakes done shortly before coming off the road..would be easy to re-do for rego or make into drift/khana car.. spare L24 engine to go with it

Hi Dodgsun, Does this have disc rear end and what diff ratio is it. Also is it man or auto? I've read this stuff bolts straight up to the C210, but would like to know for sure. What's the all round suspension like as mine needs front and back replaced. Ricky

yes to all. hehe...yes rear is disk...not sure on the ratio...tis a 5sp, suspension is pretty standard, but better than the aussie version..you gonna use it for parts eh!

turbo the L28!!!!!!

WOAH!

finally a HR that is priced for its condition!

mate if i was in your area it would be on the trailer tonight....

BUT all I woudl do is strip it and store the shell & the good bits for a rainy day.

SO.... if you are going to strip it, I will give you $100 for the loom & sensors attached (the knock, head temp, water temp x 2, oil pressure,o2 in the dump pipe etc)

IM DESPARATLY NEEDING THEM (pretty much all that is holding me back from finishing mine..... whens the last half decent L24et you saw!!)

you could get good penny for the manifolds and sump, afm, dissy, oil pump,

con rods (send em to a dat builder for their stroked Z18et setups)

the rear glass for import is RARE

Diff and shafts are good for the 1600 boys too ,

front strut assemblies are a winner, as the R32 brakes bolt onto them... fken i should buy them off ya too if the price is right.

the 'skyline' rear boot trim... well pm dennis to let him know its available, if he dont want it, I'll take that too

also interested in the oil lines for the turbo.

pipes from turbo to throttle body

so... you should be able to make more than the $500 your asking in parts alone,

I have a few hundred here for the bits highlited in bold text, let me know ASAP if your interested

if you are, strip the bits and get me size & weights of the packages and i will get a quote with 'busfreight' and youe have cash in the bank and i will be boosting around in my '80s cruiser

8 weeks till im out of work, then off to the army so im on this like a rash

Hi,

I'm also interested in some of the turbo bits,

oil line to and from the turbo (including banjo bolts), the 'T' piece at the engine block that connects the oil line and oil sender,

I would like the sump, as long as the oil storage part is at the front, but I would think freight would to to much to ship it to Tassie..

Nigel

thanks guys.... but i want to sell it as a complete goer...i have no room for takin it all apart. 9 cars does take up a fair chunk of the backyard. (and im renting)

so the first peep to buy it as a complete car get the prize!!!!...(I'll probably regret selling this i'm sure..but with the 31 and a dodge and the volksrod..that should keep me entertained for a while)

What's your plan Mag86. I'm in W.A and I've been mulling the idea of purchasing this car over and over. Timing is the problem as I'm spending money on overriders($500) new leads $80 and would like to do suspension. I dont want any engine parts ,only rear end stuff ( disc brake set up) By the way what diff gearing do these cars have? Basically it has to be worth my while, it's also all the time it takes stripping out parts.

Dodgsun, what condition are the springs and shocks, back and front, any idea?

ricky if you get it you'll MAKE money in parts....

The rear diff is a R180, some are 3.9 some are 4.1 and some i think are 3.44

the front shockies can take R32/33 2 pot calipers, springs are stiffer than the aussie ones

there are a few guys out there after turbo bits, like manifolds etc

i know noddle in tassie is keen,

im real keen on the heap of stuff i mentioned before, apart forn the shockers ( im only gonna run 5 to 6 psi in an auto, so its aint gonna be a rocket needing race brakes)

wouldnt mind the grille badge too

I have a few hundred left for exhaust and dump, and the bits from this car. so just subtract $200 from the $500 and you get a near complete HR30 for $300... which is almost the bargain of the century (outatime got a DR 2 door for similar price i think?)

    • The old manifold was quite under the GTR strut brace.  The new manifold is quite [unknown] the GTR strut brace. The GTR strut brace was needed to clear the bonnet vents. The Old strut brace will almost certainly clear the new manifold, but not the bonnet vents. The old strut brace will almost certainly clear the new manifold, and the new bonnet without vents. But I am hoping the GTR strut brace clears the new manifold :p
    • On the bright side, at least you knew that it happened and remedied before anything happened. A friend of mine just took his Fiat 124 to a shop for an oil change and they didn't tighten the oil filter housing properly. 4.5 quarts spewed out and even after refilling + tightening the cap the engine has a tick now.
    • So, more pain. The FAST manifold is a little larger than the stocker. This is problematic because there really wasn't much clearance to begin with, so going from 'barely enough' well into 'no' is sad based on the external dimensions of the thing, even though where it bolts to the head is the same. Result is the fuel rails sit a good 25mm higher, and this is a bit of an issue with the wiring that runs behind the motor, and the fuel lines, and everything else. When pushing the manifold on, it required a huge amount of force to crush wiring looms to fit it, sensors like the MAP sensor are about 1mm from the firewall, and the FPR just has to bend ABS lines to be forced into place. After some brainstorming and some sad drinking, the loom for some reason ran from the grommet behind the ABS sensor, then to the driver side head, then back to the passenger side head. So all of this was pulled back and stripped, a few wires cut and rejoined, so that the 'branch' was now on the passenger side's head as below: Before you basically couldn't see anything behind the driver head. This is much improved! The MAP sensor is now pointing up (instead of at the firewall) Brackets have been made up for the rail. The rails are for a LS1, the manifold is designed around a LS2 as it's base. Which of course has slightly different bracketry and water pump clearance, hence the mods people need to do. Should be hopefully mounted tonight. I spent money on a new FPR that is slightly more compact than my Turbosmart FPR1200. The gauge has also been moved to the rail. There's also apparently an ORB to AN Union instead of the adapter, because the ~25mm of the current adapter is going to make the difference. Provided this all goes together and arrives today, it'll be the totally not stressful attempt to start it.
    • This seems like a pointless exercise. There is no E30 availability. Ongoing availability of E85 should not be assumed. Flex-fuel is the only sensible approach, so you can use E85 when and where you can get it, 98 when that's al you can get, and anything in between as you fill it up and drain it down. And if that means replacing the pumps, fitting a flex capable sensor/ECU/whatever has to be done to these Renault shitboxen, then.....so be it?
