I pulled my fronts out and replaced them with 6.5'' ones with alot of stuffing around.

I'm pretty sure they are 5 1/4'' size, but they are not round and have a kinda lip on the corners where the screws sit.

I recommend doing a search of past threads - some lads claim that some 6'' fit straight in, others are sceptical.

I know from experience, 6.5'' is definitely too big to fit inside stock holders without jigsawing a custom spacer.

I fit 6 1/2" Pioneer splits straight into my R33 with no modification to the factory speaker holders. I think it depends on the speakers you get. You also need to take the depth into consideration, again the Pioneers just fit in.

Thanx alot, and does anyone know about the back if there are any.

Babboon what do you mean about "not round", like oval or actually with staight sides?

I know a few japenese imports come with 5*7's in the front and rear. . .

Sounds like the fronts are multi fit hehe.

i have 6 inches ALL ROUND

...

just had em switched to 3 way JBL coaxials in the front..6 inch

and 2 way pioneers in the rear...also 6 inches

took out the factory clarions

practically in peices...looks like its made out of paper too

stupid.

make sure u get ones that perfectly fix or its going to be alot of muckin around anyways .. best thing to do is open up the trim .. take out the stock speaker holders and bring it to the car audio place ... and say ... "you got anything that fits these?" and they will try to sell u the most expensive stuff they got .. and go from there :(
