Where exactly is the boost restrictor on an RB26???

Please point to the area.

On the factory boost controller there are a couple of hoses. One will have a yellow stripe and near this stripe is a metal bung inside the hose. Remove it.

At the moment i have an electronic boost controller and the knob is set to max and the high button is pressed in but boost only goes to .5bar.

Does this mean that the restrictor has not been removed yet?

Just find the yellow line and have a feel, you will either feel the restrictor in there or not. That would be the best way to tell

If that is a photo of 'your' engine bay your problem is that the factory boost controller is still connected.

My suggestion is that you get someone who knows what they are doing to fix it up for you.

In this hose there is a plastic thingy, is this the boost restrictor?

Do i need to take it out in order to put the boost up? What does it restrict the boost to?

yes. Take it out. depending on mods = 12-13psi usually once removed.

With it in my boost reads .6bar, i'm taking it to the tuners on Tuesday. Will it be safe to boost it to 12-13psi with just cat back exhaust?
