Is anyone else not getting invoices or fee's from eastlink? I first used it about 2 or 3 months ago and am yet to recieve that invoice/fine yet, then have been using it consistently for the last month, and still nothing.. haven't gotten around to opening an account yet.. if i get a $500 fee sent to my house ima get so stabby... Also you cant just pay for a trip after you've been on it, like citylink.. so retardedly wack :P Also every time i do try sign up for a count (have only tried 4 times, on IE, Firefox and Chrome) the stupid website either times out or crashes, or gets any number of errors.. It's crashed 3 times in the last 30 mins.. and the only skylines they have are 1978 o.O? i'm tempted to stop on the freeway and ask one of the eastlink vans wtf is up.. what ever happened to those big coins bins you see on american Tollways.. also u can only pay by credit card..so.. .. .. awesome now i gotta get a credit card or convince sum1 to lend me theirs.. seriously.. eastlink.. also.. $10 a day for 10 mins on eastlink sucks so hard

i owe eastlink a ton of money, but until i can log into my account or even have my password resent they can deal with it. i have also got 4 citylink fines for driving on the monash when my breeze tag should cover it. and its not the first time that has happened.

i dont get why the hell we have to pay for all the roads out here anyway. they should toll every freeway but make it cheaper.

:) that might be alright then, causeonce i borrowed a sales car to take home one night but had to take the eastlink. was gonna pay for it the next day but i totally forgot about it. wonder if its been sent out or not. might work in my favor ;D

I used eastlink on tuesday with no tag and rang up wednesday and sorted it all out, cost like $4 something. She just asked for rego, make/model and charged me the max toll fee I think? When I said it was a skyline and a coupe she did say "no they only come in 4door according to this" I loled and said don't worry about it, just find a random coupe and say it's black you got the rego anyway.....

registered online for an eastlink account.

Had to choose my car from the list

Nissan - Skyline - 2Door coupe - year: 1978 ~_~

No other option for year apart from 1978 haha, silly eastlink

kso still waiting on these, thats what 4 months now? Awesome, there must be a legal time limit on how long they have to send you invoices, this is spaz...

Also i got an account, and now my login won't work.. i've checked the info they've sent me in the mail as well (and which i asked them to resend), same story, doesn't work, eastlink sucks hard

Keyring, dont stress about it,

I was driving my skyline on eastlink like 4-6months ago (after the free period- aka it was tollway)

between the hours of 3am-5am, and have not recieved/ heard of any fines or payments outstanding for using eastlink?

maybe they have a free period if its early hours? :D

Yeh i still haven't gotten the toll from that same night or any of those other nights down that way, i just dont want them to send me like $500 fine all at once, seems they suck this much with getting everyones fines out though so meh

Still waiting on these.. Got fines on 2 different cars both registered to same address and they say they cant give me any information on tolls/fines.. There must be some kind of legal cut off for sending out tolls and fines? If they arrive while i'm in brazil not going to be happy zz

    • Does that price include the rack time to straighten the frame and body and replacement of parts and paint, as well as the noise and emmisions testing  The last engineering certificate I had done, albeit about 15 years ago, was around $1000 for a few inspections and the certificate
    • 😂 thanks guys. The diagram i had did not have the breather on it at all. Much appreciated.
    • Geez, engineers fees have definitely gone up. Mine back 2007 cost me all of $300. Mind you, I had to go back to him a few times to get him to write the correct things on the report after he'd inspected it. Things like wrong exhaust size, wrong wheel sizes, etc etc.
    • Can we see a scan of the original quote? The problem with engineers (and by this, I mean, all engineers across all engineering industries) is that there are "engineers" and there are "engineers" (you'll have to imagine the two different vocal emphases on those two versions of the same word. Engineering is a mindset - your farm kid who spent his life rebuilding the tractor will likely make a good engineer. The farm kid who spent his life taking photos of butterflies.. perhaps not. But on top of that mindset, the modern engineer has to learn how to write so that there is absolutely no way of being misunderstood. Proposals/budget estimates/quotations are one place where this is absolutely vital. You have to delineate your scope of supply with extremely hard boundaries, and anywhere where there is any possibility of not being able to have such a hard boundary, you need to write language that will cover you from scope creep, cost overruns, the inevitable interference of the client or their "engineer", etc etc. Now, if your clients are the BHPs and the Rio Tintos of the world, and similar, then you get good at this. If you are an automotive engineer, pitching work to the great unwashed masses, your skills in this area might not be well developed, because you're only dealing with knuckle draggers trying to get a big block legal in a Torana. And when I say "might not"....I'd suggest there's a better than even chance that any such skills might be completely absent. So, we might be able to look at your quote and see what the opportunities are for rebuttal.
