Hi,

Just doing some research about stroking a VQ30 with a VQ35 crank. Does any one know if this is possible?

I found these specs on the net, i don’t know how correct they are, anyone that could verify these would be good.

VQ30DET

Bore × stroke

93.00mm × 73.30mm

VQ35DE

Bore 95.5mm

Stroke 81.4mm

Cheers,

Ryan

looks right, by calculating volume per cylinder (phi=3.14 * (bore/2) ^2 ) * stroke = 583 cm3 (or cc) per cylinder * 6 = 3.499 ltr for the VQ35.

Thanks Rantino,

By the way the rotors are still going strong with the hawk pads. :D

If any one has a VQ35 crank stuffed or not i would happily take it off your hands and try it in one of the VQ30 blocks lying around. All in the name of science. lol

Just need the specs for the VQ35 engine now, it has to be the VQ35 not the VQ35HR. I think the HR runs a larger journal??????
