Fitting a shiftlight

I got a 94 r33 gts-t, seein as im out at every open day sprints and had a few runs down the 1/4 mile im thinkin a shift light would be an ok idea

Question is do I need a aftermarket ecu at all to hook one up? I want just the single light itself, i know you can get the ones that have the little boxes with them or the monster tacho but I aint interested in either of those. just the single light to mought on the pillar or dash somewhere

I have actually done this to my 95 GTS-t...

there is a thread about it somewhere...

you do not need an aftermarket ECU just need a wiring diagram so you know which wires to tap into...

I was just curious as to wether you actually needed a aftermarket ecu cause thats what the dood at autobarn told me.. but i was a bit skeptical so thought id ask people who knew something about cars first
