easier to buy an RB26DETT and go from there. that way you can build it up on the side and still drive your car around. then you have your brakes and suspension to think about, plus getting it engineered.

with so many modified and build GTRs going around nowadays, it's more cost effective and less headache to buy a GTR and go from there. it won't give you that warm 'i built it' fuzzy feeling, but it'll still make you grin from ear to ear.

its actually classified as assisted"

if u want to buy a nos kit buy mine 600 and its urs

agree so much there. :D

about the gtst (rb25det) being a single turbo

'rb26det' :thumbsup:ayyyyy, are probity easier to source power from and remember you said street.

a rb25det with a single turbo that fair in size will lag more compared to a rb26det with the same induction set up

i recommend sitting down with a mechanic or friend or who ever you want to help you with this build and write up options and put them on paper in a folder and get your prices. It will show price, power and availability (paper wise until you figure out thats the right set up) still think a rb26 engine would be safest bet mate. not forgetting overall your car your choice.

no thanks my engine is going to cost less than that to biuld but with the good parts. i am buying a turbo 2 morrow its a gt35 i beleive and has been polished and flowed getting it for $500 which i beleive is cheap(anyone verify this)??? as i am not good at the value of turbos. and why a 26 could i drop it straight into a gts-t when i get it, does it have to be engineered????? cheers for the help so far, i am bout to buy a engine soon from ebay or intersate.

cheers... michael

a gt35 is probably the biggest turbo you can go on a stock internals TURBO engine, not a non turbo internal engine. if you want to put a gt35 on ur non turbo engine you will have to put forged pistons and conrods in.......otherwise boom.

and i would probably save the money and buy a brand new gt35 instead of a used one, at least that way u will get a warranty if anything happens to the turbo (manufacturers fault)? (someone confirm)

have u thought about whether ur going high or low mount turbo? injector size, you will need to get bigger ones, bigger fuel pump, adj fuel reg........getting the block machined for the pistons/conrods....even if u get a turbo engine and forged pistons the block will still need to be done.......internal or extrenal wastegate?, intercooler what size? oil cooler...wont hurt to get one...fuel rail......u will need a alloy radiator.....

u can use that kind of turbo on a low mount manifold but would be better with high mount tho.

something like this isnt worth buying shit cheap products....do it right the first time and u wont have any issues buy cheap shit and ur guaranteed to have issues.

fuel rail......u will need a alloy radiator.....

u can use that kind of turbo on a low mount manifold but would be better with high mount tho.

Whats wrong with the standard fuel rail?

Tell me why is high mount better?

hmmm i am not using my gts-4 engine i am buying a used gts engine and putting forged internals. hmmm seems its better to talk to pros bout this. and eug why u always trying to close threads so quick you can close this one, ill take this to the turbo thread they might know what i am talking bout and what i want to do

to everyone that helped i thankyou for your time and awnsers. and the gt35 only had two dyno runs thats it then he went up for more power so its basically a virgin turbo.

thread ended.

well i'm asking as i thought you got your answer? actually reading back to your first post you had no real question to begin with.

it just seems like you are floating ideas around. you want a gtr block on your sump with a gt35 and upgraded pistons. i don't see a problem with that, as i said before how deep are your pockets. give money to that company you wanted to build it and get them to do it, it's fairly straight forward. if that company/workshop is any good it's them you should be asking the questions and they will give you feedback as to what's feasible and practical and what's not.

and can i just ask what in the world do you need 300-400awkw for??? that's more in the league of mark/russ's gtr and they do some serious timeattack, targa, street circuits, etc.

Whats wrong with the standard fuel rail?

Tell me why is high mount better?

high mount is prob better for better air flow when on the dyno....................i personally would keep it looking stock and leave it low mount...........

and with the fuel rail i was told to upgrade mine...........but keeping in mine he is keeping the GTS engine and building that so it would prob be better to cover all bases then take the risk of something happening further down the track.

early next year i'll be building a RB 26/30 to put in my R34 GT-four N/A. I'll let u know how i go. I'll be hoping for 400-450kw in the end.

OK, to start with I hope the above figure is a turbo figure cause you will never see that from an n/a motor, I doubt you would see that with nitrous and I have a 26/30 n/a setup in my 31.

A decent indication of good n/a performance would be 100hp/L at the wheels, so 2.6L = 260hp which is about 195 rwkw.

Next I thought this was a N/a Performance thread and generally people with n/a motors don't have turbos (forced induction = not n/a), unless someone can prove me wrong.

So generally when someone posts up 'Creating a Monster' in a n/a thread it's something along the lines of an RB30DE with trumpets, ridiculous cams, tuned length extractors, ridiculous compression, precision porting, blue printed and not I want this motor to go with this gearbox, what turbo do I need.
