I just bought a strut brace from just jap the other day, its a non adjustable brace....

Ive bolted it in very tight to the suspension pillars.....

my question is the hinges that connect the main bar of the strut seem to have a little bit of play in them??? is this normal or am i suposed to have not even a mm of play????

Don't think you are suppost to have any movement at all.

As far as I know mine does not have any movement what so ever.

You might have to install it again, losen the bolts on the suspension towers, put the brace in and tighten it all the way down then get a wheel alignment done cuz your geometry of the wheels might be out of alignment after installing the brace.

So yeah line it up.

nope shouldnt move at all, defeats the whole purpose of having it on, you sure its correct one for your car?

no but the guy at just jap said it was....he said its the same as the r34...

another question: my strut is made of 3 main parts, the 2 hinges that bolt to the car and the main strut bar.

are these hinges meant to be loose before i put it on the car so they can move or should it be one rigid piece before i put it on???

you need to tighten the allen key bolts on the hinges. have a look if thats possible

thanks jeff, i did it tonight while i was bored at work...
