Sideways,

Nice car, good to see you out there giving it a go..:(

Guys,

Another great day. It was dry at first:burnout:

There was a tortise, yes a tortise/turtle on the racing line on turn 3 , ;) Then the rain came down....It was heaps of fun...like a 2.5km skid pan.

Good to see Fatz giggle with glee as he was drifting on EVERY turn. Duncan doing amazing things in Kels SAAB.

Carlo, Bonkers and Majanal ( Giving Fatz a run 4 his money drifting around EC) ,Oz97GTRV, Great to see everyone there.

What a blast... Almost put the car into a wall, coming out of turn 12 drifting in the wet with bald tyres and trying to go gutter to gutter in the wet is a bit more difficult than I thought!!!:( after a change of underwear it was back to it though!;)

I thought it was the funniest thing I have every experienced drifting in the wet. you going about 50km/h and are just totally sideways in 3rd gear with about 3000rpm on... I was struggling to keep it on boost!!!!:bahaha

I won't be attending the next one on the 24th of November but am happy to collect deposit and send them accross to moto concepts for you guys if youre going. Just start another thread and I'll keep a track there.

Was good to meet a few new faces and see some old ones... althought I must say that Zane was a bit of a girl for not coming out with me... just cause I almost killed my car didn't mean I was going to kill him... come to think of it I had two girls that couldn't get enough track time with me... Bad Zane :D:p

Also a special mention to Dr Carlo who has improved out of site... even challenged the A group guys this time and certainly held his own. :)

Take care untill next time.

Dan.

that was the best two hours of my life

my rear tyres traveled 160 km and the front did about 40

nothing like linking pretty much every turn with your hand out the window

sideways turn one every lap at 150 was a blast

i managed to get zane in my car dan

your right he is a *****

anyway i love the rain and i love ec

if it wasnt for the fact i burt 50 bux worth of fuel in 2 hours and the fact they shut the track i would have been there till midnight

and thank god for all the *****s that left when it rained ment there was only 5 cars on the track for the whole afternoon which ment whoever was there did about 25 laps

All,

Thanks to the rain gods I had one of the best track days in a long time. 200KM & almost 2 tanks of fuel between 2 & 5pm, what a blast. The highlight of my day was understanding why Zane did not go out onto the track. As we are leaving EC, Zane powers out onto the old road slap slap left to right trying to get the power down and then whoosh 360. What a laugh.

Next best moment was assuming the crash position as the GTR hammers down on Duncan who lost it bigtime to using the saab as a road block. Akira I saw your eyes were a little larger than normal, how was the view from the passanger seat?

To all those who had SBS or cold wet feet or had paid for the skidpan your loss. 200Km of sideways action is the best, As fats said "Its the biggest skidpan in the world"

:P yeah, thanks for not just slamming straight into the passenger door there, thought I was in a bit of trouble....

Pete, did ur car use $50 of fuel? I thought it was running on oil :bahaha:

In all seriousness, the great thing about a wet afternoon is how much you can learn about the car *without* going at a speed where you can hurt anything. For instance, I never expected a saab could get 4 wheel drift thru thurn 3 :P

Hi all, it's the big girl here.

Not driving has it's advantages. I left the track feeling refreshed and with a full tank of fuel.

Finally got to be a passanger in the fatz mobile. In between giggling like a school girl he actually linked just about every turn on the track. And most without touching the wheel with both hands!!!

Most memorable moment: 140km/hr into turn 1, in the wet, with Fatz whipping the wheel from left to right trying to get it sideways. Not the most comforting of moments but you do get used to it after 3 or 4 laps. The R31 actually behaved like a true champion and stayed on the track for the entire trip ( not counting the numerous times the rears were in the mud ).

The only thing I regret about the day was not taking my video camera. There was some awesome drifting, both intentional and unintentional, and the footage would have been great.

Fatz, I left my helmut in your car. PM me your mobile number so I can call to arrange to get it off you.

Looking forward to new rear tyres and the next track day.

Z.

Zane,

Saw Ur 360 in my rearview mirror as we were leaveing EC...Today Tonight would have had a field day..:P Great stuff

Oz,

Duncans CONTROLLED :P 180 spin on turn 10 had me round eyed in the pax seat until i saw the passenger airbag in the SAAB and you waving at us in the white GTR.....thank the car gods for Brembos..;)

I ended up doing 4 sessions, 2 in the dry and 2 in the wet, and learnt a LOT about car control in the wet.

Bloody hell. I leave early and dundan rocks up in the saab! Sheesh..

Yeah I had a good time yesterday, I will be back in November to continue the games. Might even get some good rubber for the morning sessions then start the drifting with you other trouble makers.

Cheers for the help over the last few trackdays guys, its payed off. Dan im coming after you now. hehehehe.

Oh Yeah, I think we should give the Eastern Creek Tavern a miss next time.

Its alright, but doesnt have the same atmosphere as the Cricketers arms at Prospect.

May I suggest that The Cricketers Arms at Prospect be the OFFICIAL:) after event meet up place????

Whaddya think?????
