wld747, i got a ford el sensor and it was $85, that was the cheapest i could find unfortunately but still worth it. I thought i'd get off my butt and do something so i have taken a photo of the o2 sensor just for the people who want to see. No ragging my photography as the camera ain't much chop and i don't have much time to photoshop it.

int21h, I just bought a Ford EL oxygen sensor (Bosch 13950) for $95 from Schultz Auto Electrical in Willetton. Didn't try anywhere else so I don't know if theres any cheaper in WA.

There must be another Nissan with the same connecter, wire type and thread as the R33's O2 sensor. Would save time with re-wiring. Can anyone with Maxima's or Pulsar's check it out?

I just came back in from giving up. The freaking thing is well stuck in my aftermarket dump. It'll unscrew a couple of turns and go no further. I think I'll leave it to some one with the skills and tools (I only had a non-metric spanner in that size!).

My fuel economy sucks ass!!! think i just bust 300k's to a 45L tank.

I notice too that when my car idles, and the thermo's kick in (82deg water temp) there is a pop in the exhaust... any ideas why?

Mase: Where abouts in Brissie did you score your O2 sensor? i might have a crack at that too.

mine used pop and shake the cabin some times when sitting for a while. I bumped up the idle and just recently replaced my battery terminals as the negative was only just sitting on the terminal as it was broken. I also cleaned up the earth to the chassis. It now seems to idle a lot smoother and doesn't shake the cabin any more. I replaced the battery also. it turns over nice a quick now.

Time will tell...

joel,

nah plugs are fine... i think its probably the cranking rate or something associated with the EMS. but cant seem to put my finger on it.

2-3 seconds is a long time when people are scoping your car and it doesnt kick over straight away :)

Brissie ppl.... where do i go for my O2 sensor ? :)
