I have recently purchased FOCAL 165AI and 165 CA1, for the set they cost me $350 brand new so $300 for just the front splits is a bit steep in my opinion

Also I bought 2 rolls of dynamat @ $50 ea which is all you will need to do the inside and outside of 2 skyline doors

Hey Abu,

Just out of interest what are the rolls of dynamat??

I did the inside and outside skins of both boors and used about 6 sheets of dynamat extreme.

Also what amp setup did you end up running?

Hey man

The guy at the shop told me they would be enough to do inside and outside of door (I called and asked as I was at work) so had my brother pick them up for me. I got 2 sheets but they were only enough to do the outside of the doors not inside

1 sheet perfectly does the outside of the door, I didn't do the inside and CBF doing it because there is intrusion bars in there so really hard to get to but it came up good, I just finished the passenger door about an hour ago

I ended up getting an ALPINE MONOBLOCK MRP M500 to run a TYPE S 12" and a ALPINE V12 4 CH to run the FOCAL's

I am starting the boost install Saturday night and should knock most of it over this weekend so will see how it goes

    • Since this is the page where i found myself while searching for wheel fitment, i will add the ones im looking to replace too. Fenders arent rolled, so in big bumps they touch the tire (tires could be narrower). no any adjustable arms, so the camper is what it is (dont know). Wheels: 5ZIGEN Fireball Front: 18x9.5 ET12 - 245/40 Rear: 18x10.5 ET25 - 285/35
    • That’s a beautiful setup Tao, Have u done any development with the new Turbosmart 40mm electronic straight gate, especially in this G30 configuration?
    • Let's hope that's not a copy pump either. There were so many copies of them back in the day.
    • Damn it, I was at work last night, and stayed in a room there during the storm with the car outside, but undercover, I just went downstairs and well....there was a large steel locker that has come from some place last night, it wasn't anywhere I could see yesterday, and yeap, it landed on the fraking car....of course it did..... LOL So, I'll need to take it back for paint and panel, luckily it was only the boot that took the hit, so it could have been worse Serves me right for staying at work and getting on the cans with some of the boys
    • Yeah, really happy with how it all turned out As for aftermarket lip, nah, I'm not really a fan for practically reasons on a street car that gets driven everywhere  I did have the full lower kit on my 2015 STI, but found the front lip scrapped alot, even at stock 4x4ish ride height As the NC sits now, with the lowest point of the car at 110mm, so just legal, some steep driveways and steep speed humps will still "just" scrap those little plastic OEM air dam thingies on the undertray just before the front wheels
