thanks fellas

That Rich and Retard around 5000rpm can only ever be rectified with a PFC. A SAFC will take most of it out but will never get rid of it, It's just like putting a bandade on a broken leg. Plus its not as safe. Fuel pressure reg isn't really required as these RB's run very rich base maps. Taking fuel out of the things usually gives you alot more headroom with the injetors anyway. But yea definetly better than putting up with that gay flat spot.

slightly on topic, but any tips on where to dispose of old oils?

a tablespoon each morning in the kid's cereal or on their pancakes & tell them it's either castor oil or Canadian Maple Syrup...........good for keeping them regular :P

so who wants to come over for breakfast????

eww Petes mum in fishnets not something i want to think about

ok then, YOUR mum in fishnets

throw in my missus mum and there will be loads to clean up

of

I'll be having most of the 100thou service redone when we do the head in december.

got a gates racing belt kit with tensioner and pulley etc, fuel filter is fresh but will replace some fluids (attessa oring being replaced), power/diff/coolant/brakes/oil&filter

she'll be real fresh after that, and the tune, with the new Tomei Poncams. wonder how much difference the large throttle body will make?

anyway, looking forward to this upcoming tune, should be a bit of a sleeper.

next will be tyres

;)

a safc and nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator might be a bit of fun, to get around the 5000rpm spot, and gain some more power

but youd want a full exhaust system, good induction and intake, better fuel pump, and then the mods really start

The car has a 3" exhaust, k&n filter and some shitty gfb bov... very basic. Would SAFC get rid of the atmo bov problems such as wanting to stall at times etc? Or would it be better if i replaced this with standard item? I hardly see the benefit of having aftermarket bov if the factory unit does a good job...

i would replace the BOV as soon as possible as soon as police see that its canary time at least with out that and a tidy bonnet you may just have an uncomfortable chat then be on your way

i think people are saying SAFC to get rid of the R&R @ 5,000 a fuel cut defender will do the same think but i think the SAFC you can bend some of the fuel signals as well

dont waste your money, SAFC is a bandade on a broken leg. Put up with it and save your money for a PFC. SAFC's tended to get on the unsafe side of things, No ignition timing can be changed so the standard ECU does whatever it wants with the ignition which can cause flat spots anyway.

Cool, again thanks for helpful replies

How much do PFC's cost these days? around $800 mark private sale?

haha sorry about all the questions, skylines are new to me... everything is computer controlled

also, whats GReddy E-Manage like? I understand its only a piggyback so just basic functions can be changed... in terms of price though they seem pretty reasonable.
