more like too old and dated for 500hp.

If you want 500hp (now, one assumes thats @ the motor when you make no mention of rear wheels), then the good ole GT30 fits that.

If you mean 500rwhp, then thats GT35

To the engine.

Im getting a whole single turbo with the T04s set up for real cheap and I was wondering what its capabilities

If you mean the old HKS RB26 kit , split pulse single low cast manifold , the turbo should be a "TA"45S so the next size up from T04B/E/S .

A .

I don't have the ta45s I have the so called T4s "T04s" .Just wondering If i should sell it ,basicly new it was just reconditioned and now im thinking its not enough for me so i'm thinking about fitting a gt4088r down there. If it will fit?

For 500hp @ the motor, why on earth are you getting a turbo capable of around the 700hp mark @ the motor?

GT35 like i said will do 500hp. Best to get a turbo suited, rather than something not thats only going to add lag for no extra gain towards your goal

I assume its a HKS T04S. I had some stats on it as I used to have a HKS T04R and done a heap of research.

Its only a 500 or 550hp rated turbo and a GTR I drove with a HKS T04S turbo was massive responsive and still made 300kw atw. One of the best GTR's for power delivery I have driven... :P.

Will try and find the old info I have saved. I assume you have a HKS T04S kit?

To be sure if you can post pics of your turbo (front/back/side/ID Tag) I should be able to identify it for you - well at least which series anyway .

There is a lot of variation in what gets called "T04S" or "T04R" .

Normally T04"S" means the 3" or ~ 76mm 7/14 blade T04S series compressor and T04S 0.70 A/R comp housing on the front of a garden variety T4 cartridge .

T04R as in what HKS used to sell as a T04R turbo just had the "R" or 84mm 63T BCI-8D compressor wheel fited to a T04S turbocharger . I think HKS may have been cropping the T04 P trim turbine at one stage but thats nothing any reasonable turbo mob couldn't do .

I used to have a couple of pics of the HKS spec TA45S and if I can find them I'll post them .

I can't figure out how to put the pics but if you give me your email I could then. The guy that sold me the turbo just had it rebuild so its like new now and he said it was supposedly upgraded with a bigger wheel....and spooling full boost in the 5k range which i though pretty hight for a bb t04s..I guess i'll sell it and buy a t04r instead.

lol dont get a t04r. old technology

get a t04z!!!! (thats if the t04s isnt good enough)

The one I drove on a GTR was FULL BOOST 4000rpm and Flew like the clappers with massive midrange

first you need to decide what final power figure you want, and what you using it for? Drags, street, circuit etc etc...

I need a wall to belt my head against.

5000rpm??? for only 500hp? Madness.

Maybe you've missed it the two times before

GT35

Not T04R, not T04S, not even T04Z - GT35!

Ball bearing T04S ? That would have to be either a large frame P trim/60-1 or a T04Z . How many compressor blades ?

A .

It has 8 blades ,I didnt receive it yet ,its on its way and for the gt35r its out of my price range for the T4 version.

I'm looking for 550 to 600 hp at the fly ,going to be street /drag once in a while.Dont mind a turbo that has a little lag like ex:boosting at 4500 to 5000.

For 8 bladed , what I call 8/16 because they have 8 full height a 8 splitter blades , I think you must mean th old T04B series . There were actually a few 6/12 balded wheels in the B series - the largestbeing the T04B H trim .

Pics when it turns up , A .

So is the T04B rated to more power then the T04s?I have pics i just dont know how to post them...

No the other way round I think . All the T04B wheels I've seen are ~ 70mm OD or 2.75" where the T04S ones were ~ 76mm or about 3" .

My lists show T04B 6/12 (39 to 70 trims) and 8/16 bladed (39 to 63 trims) , plus T04S (TB41 ?) as 7/14 bladed (34 to 58 trim) .

A lot of variation here so I need ID tag numbers and some pics of the turbo preferably with the housings off to know for sure .

    • Hi again all, I’ve tried doing some searching on the topic but couldn’t find the answer I’m looking for.   I deleted my clutch booster because it had an air leak and was squealing like a hog, and now my clutch has very poor pedal feel and the friction zone is way too small, so I believe I need a bigger diameter clutch master cylinder to compensate for not using the booster. I found a Wilwood option that’s 3/4” for a good price and will fit my 3AN clutch line, but all the firewall adapters I see online such as RB factory or Chase Bays are listed as RWD only (GTST/GTS). Link below. https://rbfactory.shop/products/nissan-to-wilwood-girling-clutch-master-cylinder-adapter My question is if these adapters will also fit a GTR, and if anyone has experience using a 3/4” CMC without the booster, my clutch is a Nismo coppermix twin plate.   Thanks, always appreciate the advice!
    • Catching up on a post, I've replaced the external shark fin with a small 4g antenna (no further drilling, just a 1mm embiggening of the existing hole, and run that to where the dual battery models have the battery in the left rear guard.  No idea what the factory antenna did, but removing it had no impact on anything I use, according to the US manual the GPS antenna is in the dash and it still works fine Also ended up stealing battery power from one of the amps and ACC power from a unit nearby to add an ACC relay to power it. The mounted the booster, wifi, power socket and antenna splitter in the rear left guard out of the way, all out of site with the boot trims in
    • What drama? The only drama you're going to have is the near constant work to maintain all those sphericals. I only have sphericals in my front caster rods and front upper CAs (because both of these are near compulsory in an R32). I have had the front arms out of my car 34 times already this month, and if the new replacements arrive today, I will have them out and apart again tomorrow. Chasing clicking and clunking that comes from sphericals being a.....poor choice for a road car. Moisture and dirt are not their friends. I have been contemplating a change to my rear subframe that would require me to use sphericals in my lower CAs. And.....I don't want to have them that close to the road.
    • Did you need anything else you've already done? If you had it before... and liked the changes after, then supposedly it'd be more of the same. The idea about most suspension arms is to tune geometry that the OEM arms max out at/can't handle because they weren't designed to have the car setup in such a way that 'looks good'.
    • I have replaced everything on my r34 including suspension to Miester R, all rear subframe bushes to poly, all arms to metal adjustable and same in front.   only thing I haven't touched is the front lower control arm. Should I? what improvement can i expect ? I mean the one on the link below?   Car drives perfectly, it is just me thinking everything is either puly bush or hard bearing type so should also do lower control arm front but do I really need it ? https://www.japspeed.co.uk/product/suspension/adjustable-arms/nissan-200sx-s13-s14-s15-skyline-r32-r33-r34-adjustable-suspension-front-lower-control-arms/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAo5u6BhDJARIsAAVoDWs5V_PauQPf0kx3zFCaA4tOC9Q7JSIsfJWma_jAPN2f1sJA686djOwaAidgEALw_wcB
