I Have a r33 with a rb25det in it. It has a tuned ecu in it and sum minor mods (blow off valve etc)

When i build up boost pressure and button off again so the blow off valve operates it blows large quantities of oil all over the side of the engine bay and all over the exhaust creating lots of smoke. We hav put it down to the oil geting into the intake system via the plumb bak from the rocker cover ito the intake system. Also after driving there is a hissing noise coming from the bak of the exhaust rocker cover. Performance does not seem to be effected. If you watch the oil pressure gauge as the revs increase the oil pressure increase to 8kg/cm2 at 7000rpm. We cant work out you the oil is pressurising so much. Any thoughs would be much appreciated

I am going to do a compression check 2moro. I was talking to sum people today they reakoned it could be the oil pump bypass valve stuck shut and overpressurizing the oil forcing it past the turbo seals into the intake system. Could this be a viable option

yes thats possible, but the same issue with an incorrect setup for a catch can.

get a mechanical oil pressure guage on it, see if it is a releif valve issue on the pump.
