Bbq Around Sydney

hey guys...i've been asked at work to organise a bbq in a park somewhere

and just wondering if you guys know any good places with open area to chillout

theres probably about 20 of us or so

a bit of open area where we can play ball games or something like that would be nice...maybe close to beach or on the beach would be nice too...like clifton gardens...or sumthing like that if u guys know anywhere else

and if they would allow some light beers or nething?

the office is located in chatswood

so around there down to about strathfield or across to like parra or sumthin like that is good too

i'd prefer not too up north

but yeh if u guys have suggestions would be great

bobbin head is a good place a few different picnic spots. but is $11 entry on weekends

how about bicentennial park (i think or centennial???) at homebush bay.

but gets pretty packed with families on a weekend. not really beach either...

then you have a birds eye view of all the parks in the area

but i'm not around that area

so dont know which 1's get really packed and have good bbq facilties and what not

its simple... newport arms... near the water and there is a pub there...not sure bout the BBQ's tho!!!lol
