Need Help With Buying A R34 25gt

Hi. im 19 and i am going to purchase my first car soon. i was looking at a 1999 R34 25GT AUTO, NON TURBO.

Was wondering if this car is reliable?

Is there any common problems that i should look out for?

Nissan's are reliable cars. Being an NA and auto, would be unlikely that the car has had a hard life. As with any car, check for accident damage, check the car drives straight.

Yeah dude, the RB engine is one of the toughest engine I reckon. I've got one myself, been driving it hard, on the track day and also everyday driving but they still all right. I've seen a few of those on ebay, maybe worth to check it out. Good luck !

Hiya 19! Wish I was 19! lol

Also look for

i) low Kms. (that's believable)

ii) service history/logs

iii) rust in/on the rails, wheel well, engine bay

iv) accident damage that DLOOOK mentioned via scratched panel bolts, stitched up panel joins, doors closing unevenly, damaged crossmembers/arms/rods/bushes, uneven paintwork and overspray etc

v) oil leaks and seepage

vi) uneven tyre wear and flat spots

vii) clicking on doing anticlockwise and clockwise circles & cracked CV boots

viii) oil consistency on dipstick and no sludge around oil cap and underneath it

ix) no oil or rust in coolant reservoir or radiator

x) tranny seeking a gear whilst going uphill

And btw, take a mechanic and a panelbeater if you know any. Each of you should take a list! Enjoy!
