^ nice comments Brendan... that's exactly right...

best of all, what Julz said earlier, take some cars for a drive, if you find one you like the look of and how it feels get it checked over by someone you'll trust, whether it's a workshop you've dealt with before or even the RAC if you're happy and if it all works out then Bob's your uncle, done deal

if you're on the look for your perfect car, you'll always be looking, that's why you mod it... to make it 'your' car :P

Don't tell me stuff like that! :P

Hmmm

Dont know how to put this but i reckon 90% of cars out of Japan has been modified at some stage.

My car was suppose to be stock. Later on found out the reinforcement bar has been chopped off, when i was fitting an intercooler.

FItted a bigger turbo, also found all the gasket are brand spaking new.

Changing ECU, one screw holding the ECU is not on the cradle and the harness has been spliced for some aftermarket piggyback or boost controller.

Many more if you wan me to list it out.

Buy a semi modded r34.

I'm not concerned about performance, it's not like I'm back at home on the autobahn without a speed limit, I'm limited to 100km/h here and mods such as exhaust just attracts cops which I could do without, also mods equals more I gotta pay for insurance (I'm almost 20 now, just off my P plates). I love the look of R34's. Theres a better chance that the car has been thrashed when a car has been modded up. Thrashed to me means burnouts, revving the engine to it's limits, damage to the body due to stupidity involving a drag and a pole etc.

good luck finding an import without some repaired body damage. Most cars have had a small crash, then repaired and sold. This doesn't make then a bad car.

As for being thrashed, if you do not red line the engine every now and then, it is very likely that the turbo will seize and cost more money. Just so you know.

If you don't want to go fast, buy a NA 34. I have an NA 33 and I love it, but I would rather have a turbo car. Still a fantastic car, and pretty quick for what it is! Better petrol consumption and cheaper insurance.
