Thanks mate will give that a shot. Yeah it doesn't even need to be hot weather really anything over 15 degress or so and it plays up

Depends, they are all different. check what colour wires are coming from your original one, then see a auto electrical supplier, or EFI supplier.

Mine began after i replaced o2 sensor but it could be a co-incidence hehe

i have noticed a huge influx of threads with people having this same issue. and they've all started around this time too. cant be a coincidence. something either the weather or something is fouling the engine.
