yay v35 on top list!!! you might wanna place a r35 gtr on top off me as there might be a few around in early 09. i know your waiting for me to raise my hands andrew lol! ill let you know closer to the day as its pretty distant away but yerh wouldnt mind a cruise and meet up with some of sauwa boys. :P

Kinh - yes put your hands up dude... i know you want to... and i doubt i'm going to know anyone that would own an R35 GTR by early '09 so that idea is out of the question...

Mark - i don't mind the Sedan's man, not the biggest fan but i'm not going to this ball either so i have to do it according to the mate's requests unfortunately lol

Sequoia - my pleasure, really hope you can make it... i know you live far away from where i do (even though i'm 15 minutes away from Gateways most of the time in Hamilton Hill)

Daniel - yeah mate, the Stagea might be quite fun too! send me some pictures

Ash - i'm seriously not cool enough to personally know Steve Jones let alone even ask him to bring the R35 GTR OR his MNPIII R34 GTR

Matt - would be a pleasure to have your car along, hopefully you'll still have it (if you're not too fussed with selling it...) would be wanting to take some photos before the sun goes down too

Mark - i don't mind the Sedan's man, not the biggest fan but i'm not going to this ball either so i have to do it according to the mate's requests unfortunately lol

I've only got the customer's best interests at heart dood! :D

Sedans are roomier, less of a hassle, nearly as hot, and are *ahem* 'somewhat more convenient'... :D

man if i had another 50k i would snap up the fabcars r35gtr although i dont know for sure but i heard from a mate who is a dealer its for sale for 90 or 100k but again i dont want to spread the rumour as still its bit outta my budget, but hell yeah for r35gtr to lead us on the cruise.

it's for sale at $220,000 i think...

you're way off the mark dude, don't think they would even consider selling it for any cheaper with the mods either;

k andrew, at least someone is driving it :D

you can put my car down..ill try not to put it into a workshop 2 months prior to the event just in case history repeats itself oh and you can tell whoever goes in the car to not worry about the 50$ consider this charity :D

I can only offer you a heavily modded S15, or a 4 door 34.... so guess I'm no use to you. Good luck and if you get stuck and need an extra 4 door give us a yell. :D

    • Strength. And on the early RB26, full engagement of the pump drive.
    • I really don't understand the point of aftermarket oil pumps if your particular engine doesn't need more oil pressure. As far as I can make sense of it the problem seems to be cavitation from sucking air, maybe the pump gear design with how it interfaces with the OEM crank, and maybe the backing plate screws wanting to loosen themselves. How does flowing more oil fix these issues?
    • More photos are up, and the price has been dropped to $16,000. It's just had a service and a new 12V battery, too.
    • I agree on doing some better than factory pistons, rods, and oil pump. For anyone using the vehicle on the road, I don't get why everyone wants big cams. The stock cam profile, with some more lift would be mint for road usage. Everyone going big cams and then wondering why it isn't as responsive in traffic, when they've shifted the torque curve upwards an additional 1000RPM. Make torque, at lower RPM. Sure it's not as cool as claiming "500KW" and revving it to 8,0000RPM, but that same torque 2,000RPM earlier... Then you don't need the extremely high end pistons and rods, and blah blah blah.
    • Personal experience. Those f**kers burn. And are actually a PITA to put out. Next time I walk down the back, I'll snap a photo of what the inside of the bonnet looks like when that thing ignites. PS, powder fire extinguishers are useless on that stuff too as it's fibrous and when it ignites, it starts to pull apart. And you end up just blowing powder through a sieve effectively.   Like the big thing is, if it's fire resistant, it's job is to stop what burning? The METAL above it? It's just to try keep heat off the bonnet paint work.
