If you are after 600hp you should buy a T51R SPL. Nice and streetable with the ability to get up to 650hp with more boost. A 5 inch exhaust would make it spool really quick, like 2 bar at 2,000rpm. Perfect for third gear burnouts with the standard CA18 gearbox. Need a single plate copper clutch though, so it hooks up mad. If you get a carbon bonnet you will go faster too cause it's 50kg lighter than a GT-R bonnet.

My friend's holden ute has 600hp with big chrome rims and he's making 600hp with the standard turbos but with a GCG 700hp Hi-flow cause you make the horsepower that their numbers say you will.

I think the GT-SS and GT-RS are too new to be a common turbo conversion in Aus. Plenty of 2530's + 40's.... Merli was doing a bit of research about the new ones, he might be the one to ask.

As far as web-board comments and opinions, the UK GT-R board has a couple of people that have tried both... and swear by the GT-SS. They claim the GT-RS is too big and meant for a stroked engine..

hey 600 is this a rb25 or an rb26?

I just clicked b4 I chastised inasnt's post and he is right

the ss are 320-350 hp rated the rs I not to sure but say 400 450.

If your on a rb 25 gt 3040 or bigger is required on an rb 26 the ss would be adequete but you would need to run high boost to make the big power. but that is no problem provided the car is tuned well ie no detonation.

cheers

meggala

a t51 kai would be nice on either motor spl being a bit to big for what you want

Straight from the HKS website:

GT-SS (low mount, bolt on)

GT-RS (low mount, bolt on)

rb26_graph.gif

GT2835 (Full Special Kit)

A comparison:

That last comparison has changed since i last saw it on their website. The old pic was easier to read and showed what order each individual turbo had as far as supporting power, response, etc. Obviously all of HKS's graphs will be skewed to make their product look better, but the power figures will vary from car to car obviously depending on the other mods to support these turbos.
