R32 Driver Door Handle+lock Removal

Car: R32 gts 4dr

Problem: Need help on how to remove the door handle and lock on my current driver door, so I can install onto my replacement door. Is this a tricky task?

nah its not really that tricky.

first you have to take your door trim off and the plastic thing underneath the door trim.

then if you look through one of the holes in the inside part of the door, you will see that there are two i think its 8mm or 10mm nuts on the inside of the door where the door handle is. you undo those.

then there are two metal rods going into the door handle thats held in by some plastic clip. you turn the clips (i can't remember which way) and the metal rods come out and then the door handle will come out.

from there i can't remember how to get the lock out but should be pretty straight forward
