Ok guys,

I understand this will probably turn into the same as my last "help out a fellow member" thread. But i will need your help.

I'm getting married next year (HOORAY!!) - need some help with my wedding cars.

Now originally we were gonna go with some flashy things (i was considering either a stretch hummer, or a black 57 chev). But now that we've thought about it, the place we are getting married (Loxley On Bellbird Hill), the entrance is around the back so its not like people will see us turn up. But obviously we will have the cars in the photo's. So i definitely want something photogenic. And i know from experience, imports definitely aren't shy.

Now if anyone can help us, there will be compensation for your time/petrol, and this can be negotiated with the successful applicant/s.

Basically what i will need is:

- Transport to the venue

- I'll need the car to stick around for photo's

All up you may be looking at a couple of hours. Maybe 2 at the max.

Now the cars i'm looking at are:

- R34 GTR (preferably modded )

- R35 (probably clutching at straws to get this)

- Any silvia's (they would have to be extremely MINT) tho

- I may even consider R33 GTR's if something comes up that i like.

If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick,

You'll need to supply/get info like

i) exact date

ii) time required on that date

iii) whether or not steep gutters need to be negotiated

iv) back-up cars in case of illness, car breakdown at the last minute, mobile ph nos.

v) dress code of drivers,

vi) air cond working if hot, so that mascara doesn't run all over the back seats for example lol

Congrats Nick and PM me eh?

Oh no! I edited my post for NS but forgot to do it on SAU! :(

i) exact date - 09/09/09

ii) time required on that date - At this stage, the ceremony will start about 2:30-3. Haven't confirmed yet

iii) whether or not steep gutters need to be negotiated - nope no gutters. Mite have to negotiate the driveway..but should be sweet.

iv) back-up cars in case of illness, car breakdown at the last minute, mobile ph nos. - thats why i'm hoping i'll have a few ppl reply to this. That way i can choose a number of cars

v) dress code of drivers - I'll have to discuss with the fiance', But i would say as long as its a suit (even business attire is ok) that would be fine

vi) air cond working if hot, so that mascara doesn't run all over the back seats for example lol - it'll only be the guys in the imports (no need to worry about mascara) the girls are going in SS commodores i think)

Nick,

Firstly, congrats on the wedding!!

I have a mint silver R32 GTR, perfect paint, no dents, no issues, run's beautiful.

200Kw at the rubbers, only has modded exhaust, nothing flashy.

Let me know if this is something you might be interested in.

    • Hey guys, so Golebys has good prices on Bosch injectors, and also sell an adaptor to go from 1/2 length injector to standard with the Nissan 10.5mm top seal.  Does anyone know if that adaptor is to suit the 14mm or 11mm injector tops?  And re. The bottom seal, to suit my standard RB20 intake, would I be right in saying I can just slip the 14mm square section O ring over the bottom of the new injector and done? Thanks in advance guy, Cheers, Rowdy
    • F my life. I was changing the oil on my R32 GTR today as usual and ran into a bit of a snag. I drained the oil out and was getting ready to finish the job by tightening the drain plug, however The stupid magnetic oil drain plug snapped in half, right at the magnet part. After about an hour of trying to remove it, I used a drill bit, which unfortunately pushed the magnet all the way into the pan, and just leaving the hollow threaded part of the bolt remaining. I was able to remove the hollow portion of the bolt from the oil pan with some pliers but the magnet is still in there.  So, the question is, should I drop the oil pan to get the magnet piece out, or is it okay to leave it in there? I really dont want to drop the pan, i'm about to go nuts.  PSA: Do NOT buy a BLOX magnetic drain plug. This is the one i had.    https://bloxracing.com/products/magnetic-oil-drain-plug-m12x1-25mm?variant=37131252859052&country=US&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw47i_BhBTEiwAaJfPpgti1D2JwO7TDuMpXuqeQPCuIQSAfwxpWQH5rF9MD7sm5SCZDWLR_RoC_YoQAvD_BwE
