Electronic Boost Controllers: What Is The Difference Between A Single Solenoid Versus Dual Solenoid Ebc

If you're talking the Blitz range of EBC's, Dual solenoids are recommended for twin turbo and high boost setups, and Single Solenoids are suited to more modest boost applications. There's two physical solenoids in the one housing on the dual solenoid version - both act to help control boost. As a downside to having a dual solenoid... the actual solenoid unit sticks out like a sore thumb under your engine bay - it's huge. See the attached picture :

But it does do it's job very well.

I have just changed my Apexi power FC unit to a blitz duel solenoid unit. Have yet to drive the car. I put the solenoid under the factory R33 GTR airbox, Nice and hidden ;)
