Dcieve on these forums made 400rwkw on a 0.8 gt35, it had abit more than 19psi but they can definately make the numbers and from the best of my knowledge his doesnt have any headwork at all, only a set of poncams.

i dont think you realise what you are sayiung.

im telling you he did not make 400kw on a .8 gt35r

i think i do mate, and the actual dyno he used is known to be very low reading as well, it would make around the 550rwhp+ mark (417rwkw) on most dyno dynamics dynos in Perth . Its in a r31 and runs 131mph on the one pass he did before he broke the axles. I aint making it up its proven :/

put the cars weight in the drag calc (around 1440kg or so with driver from his last weigh in) and it says 420rwkw for 131mph! The drag calc is almost spot on for every other car ive put in.

Noel (FineLine) made 520hp (damn close to 400kw) with a gt35r .82ex on an rb25... also has an 11.2 @ 126mph (if i remember correctly) to back it up

That's a fantastic effort there rezlo. Do you have any more specs on the car? Looking at your sig it seems like you put a rb25 in your silvia? No rb30? Ported?

How much power did you make with the t04z?

Another GT35 example 455 rwhp @ 17psi on a stock RB26(just ecu + injectors).

Car has run 10.35 @ 128mph.

I actually have a t04z as well but am finding it hard to justify upgrading when there is so much more left in the GT35.

Graph scale is a little off redline is actually 7800 so move everything back about 200-300 rpm. Also boost controlled with $50 bleeder.

im totally with ya there buddy.

im trying to reach the 400kw mark and find ti very hard with a gt35r, but alot of ppl are saying its possible. so before i buy a to4z i want to make sure 100% the 35r is out of puff.

That dyno is a customer of mine. Basic RB25 build with some mild porting, CNC blended combustion chamber, greddy intake mani, hand build exhaust mani ectr... its in a S13

I ran the identical combo in my S14 (besides the CNC blended chamber) and when I upgraded to the T04z twin scroll (I sold my GT35 to him) it was a massive change, the car is more responsive, more mid range and faster spooling and at 2 bar its more fear than fun (it is still loosing traction at over 140mph on 285's at only 1.8bar -

)

There is nothing wrong with the GT35, its a great all round turbo thats easy to get good numbers out of, that said if you take the time and run the right manifold setup on a T04z it is a fantastic turbo....

Having owned and driven both turbo's on the same car, same managment, identical motor ectr what would i built my car again? T04z again,,, all day every day. That seems to be the general outlook, the guys that run T04z's on GOOD setups love them, the guys that talk shit about them most likely have never been in a properly setup T04z, that or they try to defend their purchase of a GT35 and aim for a lower power rating.

So again, I like the GT35 (especialy on SR20's and 4G63's)but I think results in a T04z all come down to setting it up right and when setup right it will outshine the GT35.

If you've run them back to back where are the plots to back up the claims?

I've compared plots of a properly setup hks t04z on a full house jun 2.7 and it makes a bucketload of power but I wouldnt in any way suggest its more responsive or has better mid-range than the smaller gt35.

So your telling me you know my car better than me and i dont make that sort of power just coz you cant do the same with yours?????

It run 170km/h in the 1/8mile, whats that tell you??

    • See, that button sounds like perfection Duncan! My eyes really don't like light shining at them from a dash when I'm driving. Being part red colourblind, I've found for most cars that I can change colours on, I set everything to red, so my eyes see the elast amount of colour! I miss normal gauges in cars
    • bro, knowing the Japanese in  the 90's, i wouldn't be surprised if they shared components across their model lineup.
    • Maaaan so many "little" things  i rly hope my old RB20 would be "ok" and not too bad. I try to learn what and what not do i need. I look at crossmember at it looks different...even parts numbers are different. Wiring and all that i rly do not know...yeah someone mentioned the speedo thing. On that yoke clip. I rly do not know what can and cant be done "custom" so that is why iam asking to know and not be suprised 🙂  I know what it looks like
    • Oh, there's also the gearbox crossmember which will probably be different between the small box and the big box, and the wiring loom will probably need to be modified, because the plugs for the switches etc, will probably be different. And I think the speedo on the small box R34s is from somwhere stupid, like the diff, possibly, so you'd need to work out what needs to be done about that (assuming it is different). I think the thing you need to realise is that the front end of that yoke is a large hollow tube with splines on the inside that mates with the splines on the box's output shaft. It is a dedicated thing - not available "aftermarket". They were made to suit that box, by the car's OEM.
