Ok, i noticed on my narrow band afr gauge its running a noticeable difference leaner, not dangerous just questionable.

It has a tuned power fc and all supporting mods, i also noticed it after i changed my oil today (it shouldnt make a difference i know but it was the last thing i did to my car).

Other things, i have been putting octane booster into my car to stop it knocking as for some reason it was tuned for 100 octane (running 98 ultimate), although i have been doing it for a while now and should have made a difference before.

The car feels the same although my clutch is in need for serious replacement and is slipping bad so i havent been able to take it for a hard drive.

I also cleaned the air filter and AFM on monday too.

Perhaps my O2 sensor is playing up? Or the gauge is playing up? Or maybe my car is running leaner?

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
    • yeah the south island is stunning, the wifes family is from the west coast down there so we were down there for christmas.   a high 10 would be a stretch but hilarious if it happened. fourth gear is its party gear, i don't have traction to throw more at it at lower speeds. I've found passengers don't think its that fast, i think it's because it has a digital dash so they can't see the needle move so they have no sense of speed
    • You have (externally anyway) a lot of patience!  At the very least your patience has rewarded you financially even if you decided you were over it!! I only just read your first experience of seeing the car, that would have been amazing!  Well documented too! It must be exciting knowing there's only 10 months left until you can get it on a boat and on it's way!!!???
