Key Stuck In Ignition - During Auto To Manual Conversion

So im converting my auto to a manual and am having a problem with the key lock.

I cannot get the key out of the ignition, its like when you don't have the auto in neutral....anyone know which wire/s i need to connect or earth out to fix this up?

i was under the impression the neutral start switch just prevented you from starting the car, not from getting your key out

sure the steering lock isnt just on?

as above, i don't think it should keep your key in, just doesn't let you turn it... that's on a 33 tho.

did the conversion yesterday and also have my key stuck,need to know what wires are what

Pretty desperate,drivers door doesn't lock aswell haha

push the little button that releases the key to the "Lock" position.....?

plug the inhibbitor switch back in and put it to park, key wont get stuck no more

You dont need to do that, i think you pull the ignition key covers off and there is alittle red bit that you need to push in with a pen or small screw driver. Thats how i ended up getting mine sorted out
