Help! Just Hit 15psi In My R34 Gtt

yeah, what i'm getting at is the solinoid may be stuffed. if it is it wont be bleeding off any air and the wastegate will only be opening to its normal 4-5psi. it may have been stuffed even before you got the car and that why you never got the higher boost level.

ok just did that. i switch it to on and my engine clicks twice. cant open my bonnet cos its too late and my old mans tryna sleep so hell get pissed if i make any noise. lol, ill check it tomorrow but it makes sense 4 it to be stuffed

oh and whats the deal with the turbotech controller? or all the boost taps for that matter. do any of you guys get boost creep or spiking with them?

no. the clicking noise means the solinoid is switching. so it is working. it should click once when you ground the cable.

yea i fiddled with the grounding cable while the car was on and its clicking like crazy so if its working why the heck is it only boosting 4psi????? ARG!!!

Have you checked for any boost leaks?

After reading through i assume you have tried to run a hose off the intercooler nipple straight to the w/g actuator? and you only got 4psi?

ok ive since installed an r32 actuator and its really good. however it only boosts 8psi so i think the gauge is inacurate. and now the exhaust has popped due to more boost and now it only boosts 5-6. lol.

and to make things worse my cars been impounded for 28 days and green stickered. along with a couple of other tickets that got thrown in the mix so doing anything to my car is sadly on hold for a while
