i have been all around oz and can vouch for Adelaide having one of the worst roads in the country....

What? Only one of the worst roads? :)

Our traffic management is also the worst in the country. Roadworks management and performance is the worst too.

Adelaide: City of Roadworks! :)

yep totally agree....everywhere you see they are doing damn roadworks.....slows the traffic down and at the same time you see 1 person doing the work and 5 standing around him just looking.....productivity well there is none...

they should coordinate the roadworks better and maybe do it at night time instead of day time slowing the flow of traffic etc

do r34 gt-t come with stock bov, thats reasonably loud.

They do come with a stock BOV, it will be loud if the car has a pod filter. If it has a standard air box you shouldn't be able to here it.

some cops also dont understand that you can hear a stock bov through a pod.

i got pulled over ages ago and my car searched for an atmos bov.

they went all though my engine bay and the only way i could prove it didnt was to make it blow off.

told him to stick his ear by the filter and let him have it.

he wasnt happy but point proven.

What are regency like with having subs in your boot etc? Mine is firmly fitted to a wooden sub box that sits under the rear seat and is all bolted in. It is fairly easy to remove however. What are peoples experiences with going through regency with things like this? yey or ney?

i went through ages ago with a sub in my old car, it wasnt secured and they didnt care about it, just make a effort to make it secure and make sure the amps secure with no cables dangling around and you should be alright

mind putting a pic up?

curious to see where exactly it is lol

well this didnt take ages at all haha, soz mate just remembered again today.

heres the pic of where mine is:

been through pits 3 times, no issues with it....

WOW! from what ive read adelaide really sucks for defects, maybe the cops should go to the NT and see what an unroadworthy car ACTUALLY looks like, not simply high mounts. In Alice Springs we had a mutual agreement with the police, we didnt do anything stupid and they didnt shaft us. my car passes NT rego checks with no worries but i can tell im going to have issues here... Can anyone help with areas to stay away from that are particularly bad for defects?

Jetty Road, Glenelg and Hindley St are no go zones as far as Im concerned

Gorge road often has a bit of police presence, as does any road near the beach (think semaphore)

and of course the boundaries of the city. O'connell st north adelaide has enough police to be worried about defects but not enough of a presence to stop the car theft sadly.

Thanks for that, I will just remove the amps as they are mounted poorly (and refit them correctly at a later stage) and leave the sub box in place.

mate best advice is that, try not to give them any change of double defecting you or not passing you just because you have a sub in the boot....i always removed that all stuff.....just try and tidy the wires up and electrical tape them etc.....good luck

Oh the car isn't defected, I just bought it from interstate so it has to go through for a full inspection. But thanks for the tip anyway, will have a play in a day or so and pull it out.

id still remove any obvious things you might get picked on as krishy said... might as well put a bit more effort in just in case you have to make the trip again for something you missed/were too lazy to remove.

seeing as the f**kheads at transport sa wont answer my fking call, how the hell do i clear a defect on an unregistered car , permit from motor reg??

then go back and re register it once its off defect ?

:P:D:whistling::rant:

You get permission from regency park to get a permit, take the proof of permission to the transport office and get a 1 day permit then drive it there. Or you could just trailer it. $50 for a permit.

I wouldn't be surprised if they read this thread, and your car is fairly stand out being those colours in your pics so you might want to edit out calling them f**k-heads.

you can still re-register a defected car if you really wanted.

it has to be done manually rather then electroniclly so you must go into a rego office and they fill out a paper type rego.

once cleared, you take the paper form of rego to a rego office and they transfer the remaining rego to their computer and give you a legit rego sticker.
